Everyone Said
Everyone said that we were done...
That in the middle of september, the Rockies were done... they were wrong.
Everyone said... that the rockies had no chance against Peavy and the padres in the tiebreaker game... they were wrong.
Everyone said... that the Phillies lineup would destroy the Rockies Pitching, and many predicted the Phillies in 4.... they were wrong.
Everyone said... that Webb was going to be to much for the Rockies, and that D-Backs would win the series.... they were wrong.
Now Everyone is saying that the Rockies don't stand a chance against the Red Sox....
so who wants to be wrong again?
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Everyone also said...
That the Angels combination of speed and power would crush us...
That we couldn't possibly come back from a 3-1 deficit (ON THIS SITE EVEN..."Ah, Boston, you're trying to complete a lesser version of 2004's run to the World Series. Good luck with that.")
Yet here we are.
Somethings gotta give, but save the woe is me "Rockies" attitude for some other time.
You have a good team. So does Boston. Let's see what happens.

I think when you follow a team, you become more aware of these things. Boston and the Rox will be a good series, and are the two best teams in the league.

That's funny
You want to get a true feel for how the Sox feel about the Rockies...check out some of Terry Francona's comments. Nothing but respect.

Everyone else and their brother
Everybody's picking the Sox except for Prospectus, but come on, the Sox aren't underdogs by a long shot. Agree on the best teams represented from both league, but everybody seems to think the Sox will prevail. And they might. Or the Rockies might. Who knows.

The Beckett factor...
Kind of like comparing Plummer to Elway. Statistically, Plummer had better years than Elway. But we all know who the real winner of the two was.
The point is, Webb ain't Beckett.

I must agree with galacticpilot here.
Does the west coast biased media even KNOW that baseball is PLAYED in Boston?? I'm not even sure. I don't think any of those sports journalists have seen a Red Sox game all year. All I hear about when I watch ESPN is Rockies, Rockies, Rockies. Besides, anytime anyone mentions the AL, it's only to point out that the NL is so much stronger, and how the AL champion doesn't have a chance.
Everyone said the Red Sox would get swept out of the playoffs. Maybe the national media underestimated the Red Sox, because nobody expected to see them here. In fact, some people said that when the Rockies beat the Dbacks, that was essentially the World Series.
Poor Red Sox, can't get no respect. I can't help but root for a true underdog like that.
