Checking in from Tucson....

I don't have time to write much.  Anyway, I hung out at the minor league complex most of the day before attending today's game at Hi Corbett.

Some notes:

-I saw Fowler, Mayora, Chris Nelson, Garner, Cuadrado and a few others take batting practice and all looked very impressive.  Fowler also made a few nice catches in the outfield and I was impressed by his defense and extensive range.

-I saw Adam Bright, Simon Ferrer, Matt Daley, Yull Silano, Josh Sullivan, Brandon Hynick, Ching-Lung Lo, Yull Silano and a few others throw bullpen sessions. Sullivan and Hynick looked especially impressive.

-Deduno, Strop and Aneury Rodriguez are still stuck in the Dominican Republic dealing with visa issues and have yet to report to camp.

-Also, over the last few weeks the Rockies have signed the following players:
RHP Tim Bausher
RHP Tim LaVigne
C Luis Apodaca (re-signed)
SS Tim Olson
IF Nick Haley
OF Lino Garcia
OF John Restrepo(re-signed)

LaVigne looks intriguing and may have a spot in the Sky Sox bullpen.

Pictures of Adam Bright and Bo McLaughlin / Matt Daley:

Garner's Left swing.
Did you have an opportunity to see Cole Garner batting from the left side of the plate ? I understand that He has good power from that side as well.

Garner began switch-hitting?
Wow, I didn't know that.

When I saw Cole yesterday he was hitting from the right-side, so I can't really give you any information about his lefthanded swing.

thanks, and thanks for the update
I'm sorry by the way for the hold up on bios for players. Work got really busy last week. I've got most of them done, I'll finish the rest today.
