MLB.tv question
Does anyone know if MLB.tv is tied to just one computer? It works fine on my laptop that I originally used when signing up for the product, but I can't get anything except the audio to work on other systems. The other systems are even more updated (browser, OS, etc.) than my old laptop where it works fine, so I know that's not the issue. I was at a friends house and tried to bring it up on his system, but all we could get to work is the audio...it wouldn't load video at all. I then tried on another system that he has, and the same thing happened. Anyone have any ideas why this is? Can I only watch it from my one laptop? This is my first year using it and I just assumed that as long as I used my login, I could bring it up on any system anytime. Thanks for any help!

I watch it
Hi, visiting from Redsland
For a lot of people, the video works but not the audio. This has been more common than the other way around, but I've heard about those problems, too. I couldn't tell you which codecs you need, but here is what I wrote in February:
It appears that there are issues with Windows Media Player 11 (issues with a Windows program? No way!) and that WMP 11 can be missing the appropriate codecs (codecs are what converts data into sound or video or something like that.) I'm willing to bet that many people have "upgraded" their WMP to 11 over the off season and this will be a common problem for MLB.TV, so I wanted to let MLB.TV subscribers know what I did in case it happens to them. I downloaded the Ace Mega Codec Pack 6.03 which contains more codecs than anyone can use, I'm sure. It's freeware, so it isn't like it's illegal or anything, but for some reason all of the US links were broken, so I had to download it from Romania, which was a pretty long process. Anyway, a couple of restarts later and voila! Sound!
I hope this helps.
