For reasons which I cannot contractually disclose

although I really like the Rays, I will take it as a good omen if the Phillies win.

Blast and botheration.

so

you bet on the Phillies?

Heh

Nope, actually. COMPLETELY different reasons.

With Bud Selig in charge,

I half expected Game 5 to end in a tie. For that matter, he might force the whole Series itself to end in a tie. He has done worse before—like canceling the entire World Series outright. IMHO, the biggest problem with America today is Bud Selig. Doesn’t the President have the power to remove him? Or Congress to impeach him?

Could

charge him with treason, but to which enemy has he been giving aid and comfort?

steroid users perhaps? isn’t Cuba still an enemy? aren’t the Yankees the evil empire?

You mean

Selig hasn’t been supplying steroids to Cuban who then have their players defect and become Yanquis/Yankees for all these year?

:-P

Anddddd....

Cue complete batshit insanity in the City of Brotherly Love. Watching the third strike on Gameday was a little anticlimactic, but I’m sure the highlight will be up soon.

Hey, now the Red Sox are no longer the defending champions. And this augurs well for mysterious portents of unexplained omens. And…. now baseball’s over.

Damn.

Blast and botheration.

Congrats to Phillies

I have to say that I’m glad to see the title back on the NL side of the divide. At least for the next 5 minutes there can be no talk of AL superiority. 4 games to 1 is awfully superior.

I remain optimistic about our Rox in 2009. When do pitchers and catchers report? I motion for a PR countdown clock!

Might have a countdown clock,

just have to test it out to see how much of a lag that puts on loading the site.

See the good thing is...

You think of things before folks like me get agrefretted over slow loading times. But I’d love to see it! Thanks again for all your hard work on PR!

There hasn't been a good one
