Who'd he have to
sleep with to get those votes?

I decline to answer
Mainly because the idea of Dinger sleeping with anyone does irreparable damage to my psyche.

Commercial
Thinking back to this past year, and the commercials the Rockies made I think Dinger slept with someone from AZ.

Chris Iannetta seems most likely
I figure he might be our lone AS Game rep, too. I could see Tulo getting some votes if he has a big comeback and the Rockies are competitive.

Toddfather
Why not Helton as an All-Star in 2009? I assume his back will be “fully” recovered, and Todd could be back to his usual .320/.420/.480 slash numbers. Look at the stat projections at Fangraphs for Todd… (.305/.421/.492)

Too much competition for Todd
With Albert Pujols, Ryan Howard and Prince Fielder around (maybe even Mark Teixeira) the bar for first basemen to stand out from among the crowd in the NL is much higher than it is for catcher or shortstop. I think he’s a decent darkhorse candidate, but I like Tulo and Iannetta’s chances more.

I'm definitely gonna have to go with CDI...
I honestly think Chris has a legitimate shot to put up something like a .290/.410/.530 line. And, he’ll play around 150 games.

Give me Tulo...
Quick, name the other great shortstops out there right now… oh wait they all play for east coast teams. Scratch this theory. We’d have to get to the Series for him to get any recognition…

MVP?
I’ll go with Hawpe’s chances. He’s young enough, has put up better numbers every year over the last few years…who knows, maybe he really breaks out and bashes 45 HRs in 09. That would get some MVP votes.
Thought Clint Hurdle should be fired before it was cool.
