Happy New Year!
And with that 2008 has closed and 2009 starts. May 2009 be better than 2008 for the Colorado Rockies!
Purple Row will, as always, look forward to the new year. In 2008, Purple Row and the rest of the SB Nation network of blogs underwent the transition to the new platform we all enjoy (I hope) today. It's onward and upward for the entire network. With a seven-figure investment sum announced back in October, SB Nation is committed to providing the resources to offer the best coverage for every team on the network. SB Nation is a network of, for, and by fans. Without you, we wouldn't be where we are today. Thank you all!
There might even be few new things for Purple Row in the coming weeks, if that person ever gets back to me with thoughts on the subject that were promised a few weeks ago (hint, hint).
Happy New Year!

Happy Dang New Year Purple Row!
WOOT!
Ok, so I’m at home in front of a computer at 10:20 pm or so mountain time. Big party, huh? Well at least I won’t get picked up for a DUI.
Here’s to a year of contention (division related) and maybe the true character of this team we all know and love revealing itself. Fewer injuries would be a great place to start for 09.
Thanks to Russ and RoxGirl for all the hard work this year! Don’t know what I’d do without the Row. (But I’d still love that countdown to Spring Training clock. ;>)
Have a great 2009 my fellow Rox fans!

Happy 2009
This is weird. May it contain a lesser degree of fail for my really beloved, really awful Colorado sports teams. (But I’m not holding my breath…)
Blast and botheration.
Aren't you out of room for those by now?
I think that one’s probably just going to go into Pete Carroll’s closet somewhere.
And that’s not bitterness that my Wolverines won all of three games. But there is plenty of that. I want to slug every Bronco fan whining about 8-8 when my favorite college AND pro team (Seahawks) won seven games COMBINED. You don’t know what pain is, Bronco fan. But I digress, I’ve got a lot of respect for the USC program and for Carroll (we’re Facebook friends!) and just wonder how they’d be remembered if they could beat the teams they should beat by 50+ every year.

Someone else to feel my pain
when it comes to Michigan football. I am banking on a strong finish to the recruiting season, and major improvement next year. Major improvement for both of my beloved teams, Rox and Wolverines would be awesome.
Off the subject, but I don’t respect Pete Carroll and his ability to pay players more than other teams will or won’t pay at all for that matter. Its also hard to lose w/ the amount of talent SC has.
Other than that, Happy New Year everybody, and March come quickly, or even better April.
Well, the thing about the Broncos
is that they just became the first team since divisional play started in 1967 to blow a three-game lead with three to play. And closed it out by getting smeared by their biggest rival to lose a title that they were about 2 minutes from having locked up. Collapse is just as bad as ineptitude when it comes to inciting agony, FYI. Possibly worse, because then you get false hopes up.
Blast and botheration.
Hey Russ, hint taken,
I’ll get that e-mail to you quickly (by tomorrow) so we can get going on this.
