Predictions?
How the boys gonna do this year? I'm gonna say 85-77....their starting pitching is a year away from going back to the October dance. What do you say?

My guess
and it is just a guess, and essentially uneducated, is 83 and 79. I just don't get warm and fuzzies about the pitching.

I think the NL West on the whole has been underrated
At least the four top teams in the division by projections I've seen so far. Well, maybe it would be more accurate to say that I think the NL Central and the weaker portions of the East are being given too much credit. I'm going to say that all four NL West teams pretty much cruise through their non-division schedules, but beat each other up, so I think the end result is that their wins will wind up a bit higher than what we should expect if the competition was closer to average rather than quite a bit below. I think there's a very good chance that all four wind up higher than 85 wins this season.
As for my silly and meaningless preseason prediction, I'm going to say we hit 90 wins again this season, but I don't know if it will be enough to keep us in the playoffs.

The only thing I know...
is that the two of the four playoff spots will again come from the NL West. The pitching is just too good and deep in the West to give the Wild Card away.

Feeling reckless today
I'm gonna say 91 wins this year. I'm not all that worked up over the pitching right now, but I just have a feeling the Rox have enough bat power to get it done.

90-95 wins
Great offense, better defense, average starting pitching with 2 studs late in the bullpen to protect that rotation with all core players in their prime... equates to a budding dynasty.
We should be dissappointed if the Rox don't win at least 90. 95 wins is much more realistic.
Key palyer:
Aaron Cook. He must win between 15-20 games.
