This was fantastic, takes you back to the old days on the gridiron..just wish a pro-bowler like Brad could have been there to help out our motley squad. "More baseballs will be hit this year by all babies being born...combined!" I love this. Thanks for the post!

Actually the line was:
"More baseballs will be hit this year than all babies being born... combined."
It is funny because it is so bad and so awkward. Dinger awkward. It makes me cringe when watching it.
Anyway that line doesn't even make sense. What is combined exactly, Ron's baseball knowledge and acting ability? That would only add up to the number of victories the Rockies have in the World Series as it is.
It would have been funnier if one of those kids got hit in his throat and collapsed on the cold dirt gasping for air while Ron Stilanovich and Brad Hawpe high five and laugh.
Then the kid's voice would probably sound like stereotypical failed athlete turned high school coach (maybe that's the point) Ron Stilanovich.
One things for sure, they will definitely not grow back.
