Invitation to check out new Modesto Nuts' site
Greetings from Northern California!
I've been covering the California League for the Modesto Bee since 1997, and we're embarking on a new project that will make following Colorado's favorite collection of Nuts that much easier.
In addition to a team blog that will be updated every time I cover a game (that's at least 80+ times during the upcoming season) the new Modesto Nuts' page at modbee.com will have the latest game story, stats, standings, video interviews and highlights, plus my blog, which made its debut last night.
I am just providing the content for the page (I'm far from an IT person) but any input you have on the project is welcome. Is there something you'd like to see on the page? Let me know. Same goes for any particular question about any of the Rockies' young prospects. I'll have daily access to these guys, so ask away.
I've requested that the page be located at modbee.com/nuts, but give the whole process a week or two to come together. If that link doesn't work, try modbee.com/sports/nuts. That will take you to last year's page, which was little more than an archive.
I'm looking forward to hearing your questions and feedback. Again, give this some time, and with your help we'll make this a very fan-friendly and valuable site.
Thanks!

Great news
This should be a great resource for those of us who want to follow the progress of players in Modesto. :)
Speed link to Modesto Nuts' blog
Since the Modbee.com Nuts' page is not up and running yet, the fastest way to reach my blog is through the permalink at thehive.modbee.com/insidetheshell.
Any traffic you provide and especially comments you leave will be very much appreciated by me and the people at the Modesto Bee whose jobs depend on developing Web traffic.
Tonight's blog will include an update on the injury to Hector Gomez, who fouled a pitch off the top of his left knee in the ninth inning of the opener. At the very least, Gomez has a deep bruise. At worst...well we won't go there until we speak with trainer Chris Strickland.
In any case, thanks in advance to all the Purple People for all your support.
