If nothing else
I'm sure that the Nats are relieved to be out of RFK.
(Back in NY, although not without one major mishap along the way -- discovering I'd left my keys in my jacket pocket.... in Colorado. Argh).

As long as you're all right, but that's
better than having some sort of mechanical problem on the plane.

Well
We did have a fuel problem that caused us to sit, and sit, and sit on the runway. Fortunately, however, it was fixed before we left.

That scoreboard

Coming out to throw the first pitch? Should be interesting to hear the reaction from the crowd.

So...
Has it started YET?
(Yes, you can tell I am starved for baseball when I'm this impatient over a Braves/Nats game).

Yeah, Odalis Perez
just threw the first pitch.

If we are feeling sorry for ourselves
pitching-wise, we should remember that Odalis Perez is the Opening Day starter for the Nationals.

Nice play by the Nats
to get McCann out at second. Long ball off the right field wall looked like a double but turned into an out.

off topic but not really
when the president does anything in public he should be cheered and clapped. he is the president of the united states. any one booing honestly is rude and stupid. what do people in other nations think when they see that? regaurdless of politcal affilation race or sex should at least clap for the president when seen in publc. fair enough to disagree or protest but he is the president and so he should be respected.
thats my rant. and now back to the game.

they say that they wouldn't boo if the president had a wife like Sarkozy's.

It's Washington.
Everybody in that city probably works in politics in one form or another. The sound picked up a few boos, but there were a lot of people cheering too.
What do people in other nations think when they see that? Well, a lot of them don't like our President, either.

Disagree
If you don't approve of the way a public official has handled their job, booing is definitely within the realm of appropriateness. I don't care if it's a small town mayor or the president of the whole country. (To certain extents,) we have the privilege of free speech in this country. Let's take advantage of it!

I was at the game
Hey guys, I was at the game last night. The new park is FANTASTIC. Huge improvement on RFK. Good food, great seats and just an all around awesome experience. The lack of brick anywhere on the stadium gives is a MUCH different feel than every other new stadium, but it grows on you.
