MLB 08: THE SHOW PREDICTIONS

I mentioned this in the game discussion the other day.  I'm gonna try to play a game of MLB08 The Show every day, based on a projected lineup and the projected pitchers.  It worked out decently the other night, Tulo had a big base hit, Redman had a very reasonable start.  So tonight, 04/17/08, I have played the game, and this is what we will see:

1. Singles galore from the Rox.  An extra base hit when it matters.

2. Peavy gone much earlier than expected. (First 5 innings)

3. Francis returning to form.

4. Rox win.

Obviously, I'm gonna keep it semi-vague, because saying the score will be X-X is a bit silly.  But this is what I'm predicting.  Also, another good night from Barmes, if he starts.

Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

I think

that Barmes should be getting some serious looks for continuing to start at 2nd. This is a surprise, given my…um…”affection” for Clinty in the past year or so, but he’s putting solid contact on the ball lately.

Barmes

I really think Clint ought to be starting. I never thought I’d say that, but he’s been the only one who’s been decent with the bat.

lets not forget....

We all knew the kid could rake…if that freak injury doesn’t happen we may not even know who Troy Tulowitzski is last season.

All things great in 2008!!

And

there will be several wild pitches and a double play grounder to SS after almost every single.

At least that’s what happens when I play MLB: 08.

I have it on PS2….and not hooked to the internet, so I had to do my roster updating and player editing my self.

Morales: Pitching Style is not Tom Glavine…it’s Ricky Nolasco. Cook doesn’t throw a spliter..it’s a sinker. Matt Herges is not in the game (strike player) so made him from scratch. As did Nix: batting style Alex Gordon

What am going to do with all these "Jeff Baker for 2nd" bumper stickers?

Dude your prediction sucked...

The length of the game was off by 12 innings!!!

Question

Does MLB The Show have the same issues with lazy designing? Every time I play MLB 2K7 or 2K8, I am always pleasantly surprised to see the Flatirons out beyond the outfield at Coors Field.
