Nice
Nice to see the lineup with Spillborghs and Iannetta from last night that worked so well isn’t the same one we’ll be using tonight.
by RyanBuff on Apr 17, 2008 7:19 PM MDT 0 recs
Good ol' HurdleLogic (tm)
thinking that this constitutes our “best lineup” against Peavy (the starters, being starters, must ERGO be better than the backups?)
That’s my guess.
Just make it stop.

I swear we win in spite of Hurdle sometimes.

meet you half way
I’m on board with not starting Ianetta, and may join you on bashing Hurdlelogic if he’s not starting Ianetta tomorrow. I’m fine with Wily T over Spilly tonight though. Remember how Spilly wore down pretty fast last year when Wily was hurt? Wily is still the starting CF in my book. I think we’ll see more Spilly in the coming weeks though.

Yeah I agree
Spilly can’t play too much, although Hawpe seems to be getting more pt against left handing pitching this year. Ianetta isn’t the starter yet, but he should catch 2-3 days a week. Barmes, though, needs to be ridden until he cools off.

By the way
I am obviously new here in case anyone cares. I go to school at Colorado in Boulder and have been a Rockies fan through the thick and thin. I’m hoping to chat it up on some of these game threads when my schedule allows it.

So in comparison, that does make me a veteran, yes. But you two might BE fossils.

How's Boulder these days
I imagine the weather makes it tough to focus on class….I think once the sunny 70 degree days hit my attendance and productivity plummeted.

Boulder
The weather hasn’t been that great really. We had a couple 70 degree days Monday and Tuesday then it snowed again last night and was cold again today. You’re definately right though, when the weather picks up like it should in the coming weeks class is going to be difficult to attend. Boulder is such an awesome city though. I really like it.

Francis
Really needs a solid outing tonight. Him and Cook need to be the stabilizing forces in this rotation and so far only Cook has done that.
by RyanBuff on Apr 17, 2008 8:16 PM MDT 0 recs
A bit
Still love watching him hit with two strikes though. I think I actually feel more confident in Helton with two strikes than at 3-1 count. Can’t think of anther guy that would be so annoying to the opposing pitcher.

Re: Rockhead
Just noticed your question about XM Radio last night. To answer it: YES YES YES. It’s a must for an out-of-town fan (unless you do Extra Innings, but I have no TV). The only possible reason I can see for not getting it would be if you can’t abide listening to out-of-town announcers when the Rox are on the road (they pick up the home town’s broadcasters), but otherwise it’s superb.

Second
I’ll second that. I have Extra innings as well (about the only way I ever get to see the Rockies), but XM is great too for: At work, on the road, or just working around the house. Plus, I’m a radio nut anyway and there’s something for everyone on XM.

I'll chime in
I like XM for the games because I find games blacked out from time to time on Extra Innings, and if that happens, I can listen on XM. Plus if I’m traveling, I know I can still listen to the game.
It's like living with a six-year old.
