Good outing. 7 innings, giving up only 2 runs, 5 hits, 3 walks while striking out 6. He has started pitching like an actual ace now. Too bad our other pitchers have been near crap of late.

What can we do with Tulo? He is an absolute anchor right now, sucking the offense to the bottom of the ocean. It is flat terrible, and something needs to be done. I don’t know if you can send a guy like him down without a major PR firestorm, but at a minimum he needs to hit the pine. Awful.

It seems he is just a bit off, or trying to pull everything. The 3-1 fastball, he was dead on it, but just missed it.
I know his early slump was dead on about pulling everything. He needs to work it to right more instead of trying to pull pitches, which causes grounders to short.

We cannot get the hit with RISP at all this season. I don’t know what to think anymore. I swear I don’t. And if I see the “Tulo Chants” commercial one more time, I’m going to murder my television.

Tulo making a strong case for Rockies LVP this year. I know Hurdle would never do it, but I sincerely hope he sits the entire SF series. Quintanilla could not be worse, and he’s awful.

one thing or the other…or the other. The offense gets enough runs for the bully to blow it; the SPs take us out early; or the pitching miraculously comes together to allow our sticks to come up short. I’m trying to stay positive here but its excruciating to watch this club right now.

I would love to stay positive, but our Rox aren’t doing much of anything to help me out. I didn’t expect a huge April, but Lord knows I didn’t expect this kind of April either. I guess I’ll just keeping repeating “It’s only April, it’s only April…..”

I still think we’ll get out of this swoon, we did last year. However, if it isn’t soon, it may not matter.

But this madness must stop. Corpas in for two innings? And left in while he keeps throwing pitches and gets himself into jams? Right-o, Hurdle. You do that. Not to mention that something MUST be done about Tulo. Give him something to calm down, bench him, or something, because he is KILLING us right now.

They’ve lost 7 of the last 8 ( I think). They look horrible. No one is stepping up and I think it’s high time that the attitude “it will work out” gets thrown out. No, it won’t work out, things need to change, whether or not in the lineup. Maybe it’s an attitude shift, or Tulo deciding enough is enough for both himself and the team and issuing a similar ultimatum as last year. We don’t need to sit around and wait until things get better because they probably won’t unless someone actually does something about it. I don’t care what it takes.

You can always assume that the DBacks won’t be this hot the whole year, or that they’ll turn it around, but it’s dumb to do so. I haven’t seen the same drive this year as we did last year, and it just seems like everyone’s trying to prove why they deserve the money they got. Nice idea but it’s about winning. Of course I have absolutely no proof of that.

Anywho. I’ll probably keep watching, but it’s getting as predictable as a Nora Roberts novel and it gets tiring to watch the same game over and over.

Well

Starting 18-27 last year ended up working out OK. (Barely.) So I’ll hold off on panicking until they’re 10 games under. That shouldn’t be until at least next Saturday. THEN I’ll start calling for heads to roll and demotions to be made.

Keep those heads held high Rockie fans, as long as you are less than 10 games out of the wild-card on September first you can just reel off another one of those 21 out of 22 streaks, or whatever it was, again. No need to be actually good the first six months.
