Interesting to seee Herrera get the start, I figured it’d be Q

by NewMexicanSteven on Apr 30, 2008 1:15 PM MDT   0 recs

The logistics of this

are mind-boggling. Herrera must have caught a red-eye from Nashville to San Francisco last night.

by Tom (RFTN) on Apr 30, 2008 1:39 PM MDT to parent up   0 recs

What time did the Sounds game end?

The poster formerly known as Blake20th.

by NewMexicanSteven on Apr 30, 2008 1:50 PM MDT to parent up   0 recs

Around 8:30 CDT, I think

which is 6:30 PDT… hmm, now that I think of that it makes a little more sense.

by Tom (RFTN) on Apr 30, 2008 1:51 PM MDT to parent up   0 recs

Jack just said

“tulo is on his way back to denver for further evaluation”...... TV guys saying anything more? no TV in the cubicle for me

by ColoroxWS07 on Apr 30, 2008 1:33 PM MDT   0 recs

Troy will undergo a MRI in Denver. That’s about all they’ve said on TV.

Herrera

Correct me if I’m wrong, but this is his MLB debut is it not?

The poster formerly known as Blake20th.

by NewMexicanSteven on Apr 30, 2008 1:46 PM MDT   0 recs

you are correct

Herrera is making is major league debut today.

Sanchez

is not far off the league lead in strikeouts.

by Tom (RFTN) on Apr 30, 2008 1:52 PM MDT to parent up   0 recs

Prediction

SInce Sanchez has been unhittable lately, Herrera will get him self a K or 2

by NewMexicanSteven on Apr 30, 2008 1:54 PM MDT   0 recs

Is this Sanchez guy a real prospect?

Because the last thing the giants need is another young stud pitchet

by moomacher on Apr 30, 2008 1:54 PM MDT   0 recs

Not sure

But on the season, he now has 38 strikeouts in 29 innings, which is certainly worth something. He’s 25 years old, so he’s older than Cain and Lincecum.

by Tom (RFTN) on Apr 30, 2008 1:56 PM MDT to parent up   0 recs

27th round pick in the 04 draft

scream prospect, though. 11.88 K/9 for his minor league career is pretty impressive.

Probably was a 27th-round pick because he played college ball at Ohio Dominican, a school I have never heard of.

by Tom (RFTN) on Apr 30, 2008 2:03 PM MDT to parent up   0 recs

He's actually kind of an enigma.

And a decent pitcher, but not close to the class of their other two guys.

perhaps a quality ab for spilly

we need this guy to throw a lot of pitches early

The poster formerly known as Blake20th.

by NewMexicanSteven on Apr 30, 2008 2:01 PM MDT   0 recs

excellent,

when he overthrows 96+ he is less effective i think. If he could just keep that gasser in his back pocket for special occasions it would do him well. Learning to be a pitcher and not just a thrower is his challenge this year.

by moomacher on Apr 30, 2008 2:26 PM MDT   0 recs

There's the sac fly.

One batter too late. Next time ask for a three run homer. Than if it’s a batter too late, it still means we score.

by Rox Girl on Apr 30, 2008 2:27 PM MDT   0 recs
