Braves reporter gives his take
Hey Purple Row-sters,
Got a new post today, in collaboration with Sam Crenshaw, an Atlanta Braves reporter from WXIA in Atlanta. I asked him how he thinks the elder statesmen in the Braves rotation will fare, and what los Bravos have done to plug the big holes left by Andruw Jones and Edgar Renteria.
Crenshaw also goes on to talk about whether he think the Braves can be a darkhorse in the NL East this season.
So, Rockies fans, step away from the ledge, and check out the latest post by clicking the link below:

Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Glavine
I am officially predicting a horrible year for Glavine.
- He is moving from a pitcher's park to a hitter's park
- His OPS allowed the last four seasons - .687, .711, .741, .774. An upward trend here is not good ...
- His GB/FB rate the last 4 years 1.67, 1.51, 1.40, 1.18. A downward trend here is not good ...
- His K rate was the lowest of his career
- He is 42 years old
- Many people say that the last couple of weeks ruined his season ... but look at the game logs. It looks the quality starts in late August/early September are the aberration, not the rule. His ERA went above 4.00 on June 10 and didn't dip back below 4 until mid September.
I like Glavine, but I think it will be apparent by the end of the year that he is in serious decline.
