Hurdle praised Baker for his defense at second base and said, "At the end of the season, we've got to have some questions answered about Jeff. And the bat being the biggest one."

It's interesting how they're juggling this.
It’s also noteworthy that Baker’s been given a deadline of the end of the season, it seems, which is probably longer than the one I would have given him.
He did go one for three today and looked better in the field. I’m curious how his defensive stats will measure up to those “others” Hurdle doesn’t want to mention.

His RZR sucks
but it’s still early and is a rather small sample size. Still, can’t say I’ve seen the range of an average second baseman out there, but lets not kid ourselves. He isn’t playing because of his glove…
