Rockies 2nd Base job
I know it might be a little early, but what about bringing up Corey Wimberly or EYJ to play some second. EYJ is hurt but maybe later in the year?. Omar and baker are good a good job right now maning the postion but why not give some young guys more of a shot. Even Herrea has played really well, and even show great poise at the plate for such a young hitter. Just would like people thoughts on the subject.
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

They'd get sent down,
right after Tulo gets back and Barmes gets the job at 2nd.

I think the team wants to give Omar and Baker more of a shot
And Hurdle’s made statements to the effect that this is a make or break year for Baker, so that’s why he’s been seeing a lot of the time right now. The excuse has always been that he doesn’t get enough consistent playing time to show that he’s a better hitter than what he’s put up the last couple of seasons. Now they’re giving him a chance to put up or ship out.
Wimberly’s unready for MLB play, frankly, and Young probably was too before he got injured although he was a lot closer. Position players don’t seem to make the AA to MLB skip as easily as pitchers do, for some reason and both would need seasoning at AAA first unless we were in a dire emergency situation due to injuries.
As for Herrera, I think I probably would like to see more of him, but the club isn’t running out of time or options with him as they are with Bake and Q, so those two are getting the more extended look just to make absolutely certain we can afford to cut them loose without getting burned when/if it comes to that later.

2nd base
I would , after long and thoughtful consideration, send in Matsui to cover 2nd and as an aside; I’d have him hit leadoff. He was a dependable little ball of energy. Fargo
