just went 0-fer the 4 game series at Nashville…very bad timing.
I think we need to see him this year, to find out if he’s the future or if we pay big money for Atkins and/or Holliday, and trade Stewart

You would think the Rockies would invest $20,000 or so to build a humidor down there

That would help us judge pitching and hitting down there far more accurately. It boggles my mind how they still don’t have a humidor in Springs.

At some point he’s no longer a prospect.
Shealy had at least had a very good year (.330-2-16) in ‘05, when Helton was ill. Koshansky has done nothing remotely similar.

This is just karma catching up with us from last year.

It is a combo of us just not being very good, and the karma thing. I am honestly convinced. This is unreal.
So after a month and a half
of having all the bad luck possible, we’ll go back to an even playing field. We had ALL the good luck imaginable last September/October, now we have NO luck, we just have to wait until it runs out.

If Cook weren’t starting tomorrow, I’d seriously be taking some time off. Of course, we’ll get our weekly win tomorrow, and then I’ll watch again on Monday.

Things could actually be worse...
except for a brutal error by Ryan Theriot, and a very dubious balk call in San Francisco, we could be looking at a 13-game losing streak.

You could say the same about if it weren’t for blown saves from Corpas and Fuentes we’d be 5 to 6 games better than we are now.
It does mean nothing at all is going right for us
whereas it all was last year. But we suck just as well on our own merits, I know.

The number of guys on our DL is just staggering, and Tulo wasn’t even on the list yet.
