Around SBN: The Ten Worst Swings Of The 2011 Season

Saturday Morning Rockpile:

So does this way of losing feel any better? After going through most of the season with problems coming up with the big hits with runners on, last night we had all the big hits but nobody on board to optimize them. At any rate, back to 10.5 games out and I have nothing more to say this morning.

Other than it's pretty cool that the Rockies are winning over the Tulsa media market , even if they might not be actually winning much else this season.

Only the 2008 Rockies....

could figure out how to lose a game in which they hit 4 homeruns, AND their starting pitcher works into the 7th inning. I’d say most teams who do that win that game 97% of the time.

Has anyone seen the Rockies’ road record in interleague play? Since it began in 1997, the Rox are MLB’s worst interleague road team, with a record of 23-56. At least, that’s what they showed on the FSN telecast last night. Hard to believe, isn’t it?

Two Denver Post

stories discuss CDI’s increased playing time, but mention that Torrealba is an asset in the field. Except neither article mentions how he’s an asset.
