I would much

rather have seen them demote Vizcaino…but I guess he costs too much to do that to.

I agree...

Speier has been serviceable at the least this season, despite his injury. What happened the other night was clearly NOT his fault, as he fell victim to Hurdle’s strange noggin.

Viz, meanwhile, has been flat out embarrassing to say the least. It seems like every batter he faces at the very least makes solid contact and hits the ball very hard, even if we’re lucky enough to have them hit it right at one of our guys.

Speier vs Viz

Vizcaino is a veteran with enough service time he can’t be sent down with out his permission. He could refuse any demotion, which would be the same as the Rockies waiving him. He would get paid his full contract (almost…details of who pays what I’m a little fuzzy on) by the Rockies

Speier is the only pitcher in the pen that has options so that’s why he was selected. Nothing more, nothing less.

Now if Viz would have gone back on the DL, and not said he wasn’t really hurt…..that’s a different game

I miss baseball. Can we fire Clint Hurdle and Dan O'Dowd now?

Catcher Discontented

Apparently Yorvy told some radio station that he wants to be traded.

Where do I sign up?
