Well
I’ll be here for most of the game thread, though my participation will be sporadic due to a certain bonus weekend on a particular video game which I am frequenting while watching the Rox game. In short, you won’t have to deal with me too much tonight =p

the Rockies to go down 1-2-3. Your turn to do that to the Mets, Cook.

All right! Out of the inning!
Now time for the bats to come alive these next few innings. Despite Perez being a lefty, I predict and hope Hawpe will come out of his slump at least somewhat tonight.

Win or lose,
I still get to watch the Rockies in person. It would be better if they win the next two, but I still get to watch them while inside a stadium.

Can you take a picture of the area where Dante’s first HR was hit? And if you have time scratch off a section of paint and send it in a jar to my house!!

If it were me, it wouldn’t even be a question. I get so few opportunities to see the Rockies in person, I would go even if things were worse.

Have to admire the Rockies
just setting themselves up as the sacrificial lamb that gets the “Suddenly Streaking” Mets in the first 15 minute block on SportsCenter.
What a selfless team we are.

A-West was my bitter rival, but I knew him growing up through church (I have a signed baseball) so I root for him anyway.

Yep, me too
I still can picture him when he was around 12 or 13, wearing a baseball bat tie to church. Little did anyone know then that he was a future Cy Young winner and likely hall of famer.

Argh
They keep walking our best hitters, and then the next guy gets out anyway. I’d would rather Hawpe have tried to get a hit it there, even if it ends up being an out, rather than take a walk and leave it to Nix.

just one of those guys gets on and we can get to holliday in the lineup. He hurt Wagner before and can do it again.

So, the
last two games Aaron Cook pitched at Shea ended up 2-1 victories for the Mets. And Damion Easley had a homer in each one.

Or Chaz Roe
who just completed a complete game shutout in 106 pitches, striking out seven, walking one.
Roe has been pretty good in AA. He’s only had one bad outing, one below average one, several good, and now one outstanding one. I’d like to see more K’s, but he’s orking deep into games with pitch efficiency, so i can’t complain too much.
