Complete Coverage >

My slacker weekend continues. My apologies to everybody for the late posts as I have family in from out of town this weekend and once again I seemed to fail to take into account how much time I would have available to do some blogging.

This one's up on time for the Rockies to try and win the four game set with one to spare, but rather than making a late Pebble Report tonight, I'll give a two for one tomorrow morning.

Anyway, Ian Stewart will appear on the one from last night's Colorado Springs game, but not tonight, as he's rejoining the Rockies in place of the still glailing at the MLB level Jayson Nix. The quiet question that's left hanging out there this time of season is whether this is another temporary move for Stewart, or does it porternd that a big deal involving Atkins or Holliday is in the works?

Anyway, go Rockies!

In case anyone is wondering,

this is the actual game #99. Yesterday’s game thread also was #99 until late in the evening when I realized the numbers were off. All is corrected, though if you go into yesterday’s game thread the address will still tell you that it’s game #99.

Sanchez

gets to third after Holliday couldn’t get a good grip on the ball. Just get the outs before he scores. Oh, the first run scored while I typed that.

So he could go to Beijing as a member of Team USA. Maybe winning a gold medal will make up for the fact he will be a AAAA lifer.

Hawpe

having nearly as good a night as Podsednik.

In other news, I’m watching BBTN, and apparently one of the analysts predicted the Rockies would come back to win the West, and the other guys have been ribbing him for it all night.

Very enjoyable game

although, of course, not near the screaming mayhem of July 4th. Photo Day, of course, was also fun, and as we did last year, my sisters and I went to that. Lots more fans this year (damn bandwagoners) but we still managed to get pictures of one or more of us with: Barmes, Manny, Bucky, Matt, Brad, CDI, Stewie, Cookie, Todd, Garrett, Spilly, Seth, Bake, U-ball, and Q. We didn’t really have time for conversations (again, damn bandwagoners) but we did get to chit-chat. And of course then we won the game, which was also good.

Free Casey Weathers!!!!

Play the Pirates for the rest of the season? Good stuff.

What?

No pictures with the hero of the game, “Podsednik”? Good to see these guys stepping it up a notch or two, or three. Hope this can continue against good pitching. Felt for that guy Herrera, he really got crushed.
