Reynolds goes on DL
This is not good news. He goes on the DL with a shoulder impingement
http://www.rockymountainnews.com/news/2008/jul/26/rockies-reynolds-dl/
First an arthroscopic "clean-up" last year and now this. You never want to see a pitcher starting his first couple seasons in the organization with repeat shoulder issues, especially, when he's the #2 overall pick in the draft.
And to think, Tim Lincecum was there for the taking.
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Shoulder
Ubaldo Jimenez had a pretty significant shoulder injury early in his pro career too, if memory serves. Once you start talking about things tearing in there, that’s when you’ve got a problem.
Side note… oh, boy, another thread bemoaning the fact that there were two All-Stars taken after Reynolds in the draft. I’m going to go ahead and exit stage left on this one.
Staying on the sunny side of Blake Street since 1993.
I know, the Lincecum comment was a low blow.
However, you do have to wonder how much the success of Lincecum resulted in the Rockies rushing Reynolds to the bigs. I know they were desperate for a SP to get some outs, but with Reynolds coming off of shoulder surgery, I’m just not convinced that it was a smart move for the future of Reynolds.

Irony
would seem to be an apt word here. At the time of draft, everyone was convinced that Lincecum was the ticking injury time bomb waiting to go off.
Second half run?

So is the fact that “His inflammation is in the back of his shoulder, not the front as was the case last year ….” supposed to be good news?
