He had 7 in AAA and 11 last year
and Maddux is the second worst (to teammate Young) at holding runners, so not that surprising.
And that's why he shouldn't be starting.

I'm really NOT enjoying this..
we can beat Jake Peavy, but we roll over and die against Maddux? Granted Cook gave up a lot of runs, but we have had no offense other than the CDI homer and a couple hits. One from DeLaRosa.

Four more games...
until I officially allow my interest to wane for the rest of this season. Not that anyone here cares, of course, but I’m just going on record for myself. In all honesty, it will be a relief to tune out, say, 50% until next April. Plenty of other things going on. But man, do I have high hopes for ‘09.

I needn’t have worried, and it turns out that we would have been better off if both threads, and the game they accompanied had disappeared to some alternate reality rather than actual reality.
