Will Holliday join the 30/30 Club?
Matt Holliday has 24 home runs and 25 stolen bases thru Aug. 31. Will he become the 4th Rockie all-time to make the 30/30 Club? Other Rockies to do it are Larry Walker, 49 home runs, 33 stolen bases in 1997 (MVP year); Ellis Burks, 40 home runs, 32 stolen bases in 1996 and Dante Bichette, 31 home runs, 31 stolen bases in 1996. Three National League players joined the 30/30 Club in 2007--Brandon Phillips, Jimmy Rollins, and David Wright.

August steals
11 steals in August, including 3 multi-steal games? Cool.

Ugh
The way Holliday is struggling at the plate lately, maybe I should have asked about making the 25/25 club. Kidding aside, Matt made solid contact to the opposite field several times last night and I have a feeling he may break out in today’s afternoon game at Coors.
