Check out the 2009 Schedule
Weird. It is very home laden from April-June and then become home laden in July-Sept. Sept is virtually a home month. Hopefully they will not be buried early and never recover. Otherwise the schedule shapes up well for them down the stretch.
Here is the breakdown:
April: Home = 9, Road = 11
May: Home = 14, Road = 15
June: Home = 9, Road = 19
July: Home = 16 , Road = 10
August: Home: 14 , Road = 14
September: Home = 18, Road = 9
October: Home = 1, Road = 3

Wow, I hadn't looked at it,
That does bode well if the Rockies are still in striking distance at the end of June, but I’ll want us to be at least three up on LA before October with our last series of the season at Dodger Stadium.
What, you don't want the Rockies at least three games up on Los Angeles?
On October 1? If the Rockies are three ahead, it means that the Dodgers would have to beat us four games in a row to win the division, given how the bottom of their rotation is looking, I don’t think they’ll be able to do that.
We’ll have put the D-backs hopes to rest on Sep. 20, hopefully, although it’s pretty weird that will be the last time your team faces either LA or Colorado for the season. You will have a tough six game road trip to close it out at San Fran and Chicago, so it will probably be important for the Rockies to mess up that somewhat easy homestand (except for the Rockies) just before that trip by taking two of three from you at Chase that Sep. 18-20 weekend.
The Dodgers have a road trip against three lousy teams (Pittsburgh, Washington and San Diego) just before facing us, and we have a homestand against some tough NL Central teams (St. Louis, Milwaukee) as well as the Padres before facing them, it could get interesting.
That schedule sets up really nicely for a late season run.
Just hope we don’t have a meltdown in June or like you say get off to a horrendous start.
June=O*U*C*H*!
Only 9 home games? Who came up with that mess? Oh well…it is what it is, and our Rox will just have to suck it up. Thanks for the breakdown!
