Game Thread - Kings @ Avalanche
Los Angeles Kings (18 - 20 - 7) at Colorado Avalanche (23 - 22 - 1)
The Kings come to Colorado witha 6 - 9 - 1 record on the road while the Avs have a 14 - 9 - 0 record at home. Colorado has won the last four meetings with Los Angeles and hope to continue their offensive breakout they saw with their win Sunday against Calgary.
Both Milan Hejduk and Ryan Smyth posted their 300th goal of their careers on Sunday. The Avs overall are still looking for offense with injuries to Joe Sakic and Paul Stastny. Peter Budaj should be in the net and has an overall record against LA of 6 - 1 - 1.
The Kings meanwhile come in with a 1 - 4 record over their last five games. They hope to continue their winning ways and gain two points to move them into 12th position in the Western Conference.

Payback from the Kings
I guess a Colorado team can’t kill one Kings team without getting it dished back.

It felt
like a complete comeback was imminent. But not with this team apparently
