12 and a half minutes with Todd Helton
Todd Helton took the time to sit down with 9NEWS' David Hunt this week. Among the topics of conversation: how his back is feeling, how the team will replace Holliday's bat, and his outlook on the 2009 season.

"To make it to the playoffs, to make it to the World Series, it's not easy." Helton said. "Even if you've got good teams, so much has to go right to be able to put a good season together. You just watch the game and you can see that there's a lot of good teams out there that don't make it to the playoffs. Confidence, momentum, injuries - they all play a big factor."

Over the next month, we'll have interviews with Troy Tulowiztki, Aaron Cook, Huston Street, Brad Hawpe, Garrett Atkins and others... I'll post the video links when they're available.

Looking forward to the next interviews
It’s always interesting to hear from the players themselves rather than through a quote in the newspaper. Looking forward to hearing from Street about his thoughts on coming to the Rockies especially.

Ha
You sound like me. I’ve long had a huge problem with the A’s uniforms. White shoes with gray pants or especially white is not a good look.
Well
it is summer time. Though I guess before Memorial day and after Labor day it’s not so good

They are
a little difficult to digest. And I go to a school whose football teams wears green and white…They’re not Oregon, but still.

I miss the Colorado news...
That’s a way better interview than the San Diego stations are running about Kevin Kouzmanoffs bum shoulder.
Keepin' warm by the hot stove season.
Really want to check this out...
Unfortunately, every spare bit of extra time I have this week (which isn’t very much) is devoted to keeping me up on my homework, since I’m involved with something that will take away my entire weekend.
Dang, I miss baseball!
Hey, thanks for the post
Love the Toddfather, and sincerely hope his back problems are behind him. Both for him personally and for the team.
Watching this interview was kind of painful, in a way. The man does have the fidgets, doesn’t he?
