Game Time Changes for 2009 Season
Got my newsletter from Event Services in the mail Tues & this was in the newsletter.
Time Changes for the 2009 Season
In coordination with Fox Sports Network all Colorado Rockies home games will start five minutes later then in the past to allow for a more comprehensive pre-game show. Games will be as follows;
2:10 Opening Day6:10 Saturday games
7:10 Friday night games
1:10 Sunday games
6:40 Weeknight games
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Great
more pre-game show. It’s not like they have a 30 minute pregame show as it is.
But I’ve not liked the various times the evening games start. It’s a little hard to remember what time a game starts…oh yeah, it’s Friday, tha means 6:30…no it’s not 6:30 it 6:40, but it’s not 6:40 cause it’s Friday…that means it’s 7:30…no wait that’s not it………….
I’m getting old and crochety….I need my Tornadoughs at a set time

So they need 5 more minutes to
tell us who the starting pitcher is??? What you wanna bet there will be 4 more minutes of commercials? Like Redhawk, I’m getting (have been?) old and crotchety AND cynical.
5 more minutes of George
are 5 too many.

I just wish they'd replace him with Huston fulltime
But there’s probably some contract issue that’s preventing that.
Frazier has a "No fire" clause too
He’s been around longer than Hurdle. It’s a good thing he requests time off to spend with his family…

I get so tired of him talking about his condiment choices for a hot dog
or yada yada yada about the Yankees.

I dont think Huson is any better
can we just get the radio guys to do both?

Huson at least has an excuse
He’s new to actually broadcasting games. Frazier has done Rockies games for a decade. I do enjoy it when Jack Corrigan or Jeff Kingery do a TV broadcast. I can’t stand the radio fill in on those days though…

I really like Huson
He just needs time to adapt to Drew’s “I know everything about Denver Sports” style.

Not with satellite…

Corrigan and Huson..
Were my two favorites last year. Jack seemed to draw out Huson’s experience by asking him in-depth questions during the game.
Keepin' warm by the hot stove season.
i agree
Huson is terrible, George is annoying at best, Goodman is tolerable. Nothing worse than watching an away game in non-HD with Frazer blathering on about his world series appearance or Huson sounding like a college radio reject. Please lets get some new blood (or actually some old experienced blood) in the booth sometime soon. Pleeeeaaaassseee.

Give Huson a season to settle in
He’s a smart guy, and his (hot dog+World Series)/blathering topic ratio is actually very low

If he's not on his game by mid season
then get rid of the guy!
Wait, am I talking about Huson or Hurdle now?
yeah they're all starting to blend aren't they
FIRE ALL THE NON CRITICAL STAFF, PROMOTE JACK AND JEFF AND CALL UP THE AAA TV GUYS

The AAA TV Guys
don’t exist and when they do they are horrible. Some games broadcast on altitude in Colorado Springs and they are like watching a high school game with commentary from parents.

Joke = dead
We gather here to mourn the passing of the joke about calling up TV guys from the minors. It was a dumb joke, taken before it was really recognized as amusing…

Oh God the Hot Dogs
Every time they go to a park with an all-you-can-eat section, he makes the cameraman miss like 8 pitches to focus on the dude with the nachos and blather on and on about how many hot dogs he’s gonna have and how much he loves hot dogs.
I can’t blame him, I ALSO love hot dogs, but come on man

I think Drew just need to try a hot dog
with mayo on it. Don’t you think that would get George to shut up about it? Then again, if Drew didn’t like it — they might talk about it even more.
