And once
teams figured out how good Hawpe’s arm was, they stopped running on him which limited his assists.
Not that I’m necessarily defending Hawpe here, but these defensive stats don’t consider how often runners who would have advanced to third remained at second due to the arm of the OFer right? That has a value too…
