Around SBN: Leandro Damiao Is Still Really Good

new Purple Row graphic

I was just interested to see everyone's opinions on the new Purple Row graphic (the one in the upper left hand side of the sites home page).

Star-divide

I think it fits the SBN style of their blog sites, and it's nice, but I think the old one had more character.

Also, does anyone know if Purple Row creates their own graphics like that, or does SBN have anything do with it?

Anyway, just a random thought I had.

What does everyone else think?

Maybe we should put the old one up on the site's birthday in March.

For nostalgia’s sake. Not that nostalgia has done anything for my sake recently to deserve such a gift. She’s kind of fickle that way.

I'd like that

I liked the old one, cause it incorporated the actual purple row into the graphic.

BTW, Russ, is there a bigger one for this one this time? :) If not, that’s alright, I’m just curious – it’d make the little Purple Row bug I put on wallpapers a lot cleaner.

Count me in

as a big fan of the new look. Very clean, modern, and you can actually TELL what it’s supposed to be.

Blast and botheration.

Maybe

it would’ve been appropriate when the Blake St. Bombers were roaming Coors Field, but in the age of the humi?
Not so much…

And did everyone

notice the countdown clock on the left sidebar?

I may be alone in this but

I liked the old one better – just personal preference I guess

Well the response isn't that favorable so far,

You, the diary author, oo nrb and rockieprogress all seem to be leaning toward the old one, while there are four favorable votes in this diary so far counting Russ and myself, so far I’d say the opinion is pretty well split down the middle. So hey, you’re not alone there…

I usually have a bias towards "old school" things,

so I am missing the old logo, but I shall persevere through these tough times! The new logo is quite stylish and fits well with the site layout, so I have to give it that.

And Russ, I did notice the countdown clock, nicely done.

More thanks to our

Tennessee Volunteers blogger who came up with the script for that. All I did was enter some info.

I think this post needs a poll!

personally I’m ok with the new one. The old one was a bit “busy” but it did feature “the Row”. The new one is cleaner, and more professional…but no “Row”

Good idea Redhawk,

I added a poll to the Fan Post. Vote away!

Well

The old one is pertyer

But the new one is more blogtastic.

I abstain.

Well, I just voted

And when I saw 70% for the new one, I thought, “Wow. The new one really has a ton of fans.” Then I noticed there were only 10 total votes. So I’d guess it’s either (a) not a big deal to the unwashed masses or (b) nobody reads this post.
