With the Dodgers leading 3-0 in the 3rd...
If the Dodgers complete the sweep, do you think MLB might move up Sunday’s Rockies game 3 to 1:37pm MT? I know a lot of people along the front range would be upset, especially if going head-to-head with the Patriots/Broncos game.
Then again, if they moved the Red Sox game to 1:37pm MT, then the Boston area fans would be upset.
I don't think so.
They already announced game times and everything. It would be too late to move it up by that much time.

Classy fans in St. Louis, considering the terrible play Holliday went through in Game 2.
That was pretty classy of them

You know maybe this won't be the worst thing to happen..
1) Tulo gets another day for his arm to recover
2) Maybe we dodged a bullet with Pedro. Perhaps he would have been on target to clean our clock, just to prove to the rest of the world he still has it. He seemed pretty amped about the game.
3) JA Happ’s lower extremity injury might worse than is thought.
So…that’s all I have for now…I’ll keep sifting through my optimism cards….:/

With all of the bad umpire calls during the last five days...
(The non HBP call in the 11th during Brandon Inge’s AB in the DET/MIN tiebreaker,
the questionable base calls in both the COL/PHI NLDS and BOS/LAA ALDS, and the blown call by Phil Cuzzi in the 11th inning against Joe Mauer in the MIN/NYY ALDS)
Do you think that MLB might reconsider using some form of updated instant replay in 2010? During the “MLB Tonight” pregame show today on MLB Network, before the Cards game, Mitch Williams suggested a challenge flag situation similar to the NFL, possibly adding an additional replay umpire.
Do you think that idea could fly?
It seems like a great idea.
The problem is so much of the league is old school and likes the human element.

They were probably jinxed by all of those “one day you’ll tell your kids about watching Pujols” commercials. Maybe it’s a good thing that they didn’t produce any Rockies post-season commercials.
We know that TBS didn't any of their promotional spots involved the Rockies.
Probably the same from MLB Productions.
I haven't seen one for the Dodgers or Yankees yet.

In TBS' promotional video with Jon Bon Jovi singing, it had Dodgers and Yankees players, but no Rockies.
The MLB Productions spots had one with Joe Torre and his Dodgers, and Joba Chamberlain, his dad, and the Yankees.
None for the Rockies.
Yeah, I noticed the Bon Jovi video.
It even has Tigers’ clips. Somehow I’m not suprised.

It's ironic that it came down to a closer/left fielder
Considering we got a better closer/left fielder (defense) for Holliday.
It's rarely possible in baseball to blame someone entirely for a loss.
After all, Holliday did hit a homer in the game.
….But that dropped catch was just flat out deflating.

This weather sucks..
we should be watching baseball right now in the 4th inning and running up the score on Pedro. Now we have to watch Happ pitch tomorrow night and I will probably miss Monday’s game because it will be played in the daytime while I’m at work.
