these commercials on TBS are almost as annoying as the commercials

He owned a ranch next door to the ranch I grew up on in New Mexico.
He had an obsession with introducing species that were either not native to the area or so long extinct from the area that reintroducing them would cause all sorts of issues.
It was annoying.
