Street is a standup guy, I'm

just worried how this will affect him. If he can put this behind him and continue his rehab to be ready for next year he’ll be just as good and better down the stretch. Is there any market for corpas? We’re logjammed in the back of the bullpen, especially if they either resign or exercise Betan’s contract. Street, betan, Buch, Daley, corpas, weathers. And if morales cant make the rotation then him as well.

Street became one of my favorite Rockies

when he said in an interview that one of his goals was to become a well-read person. I don’t think I have ever heard another professional athlete express that sentiment. And he comes across as personable and genuine — an overall likable guy.

Hot buttered toast! Mmmmmm.

Waterboy

Huh, I’d never checked out any of his entries. Street as waterboy.

Leave Dexter alone! You're lucky he even performs for you!

He's still Our Super Street 16

And a class act, too. It’s really a pleasure rooting for guys like him.

I'd either forgotten or didn't realize

he had this blog. Very candid and thoughtful. I’ll have to read all these entries tonight.

I understand the dangers of long term relief contracts, but if you always avoid them you could end up with a bullpen abound in struggling retreads. Choose wisely where you put relief money, but please do put it in this guy.

What a great guy

It was tough to watch, but I wouldn’t have had it any other way. In the end, it came down to our best vs. their best. This time, their best won. Tip your cap to Howard. I hope beyond all hope that they re-sign Huston Street. Next year, our best will beat their best.

Ummm, I wouldn't want it any other way?

You know, I feel for the guy and everything, but, “I wouldn’t want it any other way”? I read his blog and it seems as though he had made sense of this whole ordeal through some philosophical, but to say you wouldn’t want it any other way is just not right.

I think you misread him.

He doesn’t mean he wouldn’t want a different result. Of course he would. He’s saying he’s glad it hurts, because that reflects how much he cares.

That blog post makes me really sad.

Hearin him hurt like that makes me feel bad too, but also increases my respect for him. He already gave up that homer to Magglio Ordonez in the 06 ALCS….now this. Hopefully he can grow from this experience and keep takin’ names next year!

I truly believe

he was rushed back in late Sept due to Morales implosions in SD, SF. He was not the same when he came back with less velocity and less bite on the slider. As a result he worked only outside and got burned.

I agree with this 1000000000000%

Just an average guy with exceptional hair. Nothing more, nothing less.

I love this guy...

He’ll be in top-notch form next year. I have no worries about that whatsoever.

This was a great read

because sometimes we feel like we are the only ones that hurt or care like we do and that the players are just money hungry and don’t care that much about the outcome or other people. This just shows that many of these guys still do love the game, want to win more than anything, and have strong character. I hope to have Huston back, and I think the 2010 Rox are going to be WS Champs!

Rox, please start playing with heart! Let's finish this thing off!
