Lansford Dismissed
Well Lansford takes the fall for the Giant offense or lack thereof. We all know this guy is good and maybe we can get him back. I think he would be an improvement over Baylor. He did wonders for several Rocks hitters in his time at CS. Here is the link:

Seems the Giants are all over the place this offseason. If they honestly think Carney was the reason for their anemic offense then we do not have to worry about them being serious contenders next year. They'll go after some sticks but I see arm problems on the horizon for Cain, Lincecum, etc.
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

The greatest coach
can not create “talent” where there is no “talent”.
Or as something I learned in a business management seminar, “Don’t send ducks to eagle school” They will never be able to learn to be eagles.

I love Carney
but the Giants’ problem wasn’t just a lack of talent. Their approach was horrendous. That was one of the most undisciplined teams I have seen. They were the worst or at least the bottom three in OBP, swinging at pitches outside the zone, swinging at the first pitch, walks, pitches per plate appearance. It didn’t change all season, and they obviously needed a change. Patience isn’t always the answer, but the Giants needed it sorely.
