I had a great Halloween
I went to the reunion gig of a band (featuring 3 friends) who split up 4 years ago, and they got back together for tonight only. OMG they were fantastic. And people were great, and beer was flowing, and the venue was excellent, and, as we left, my gf and I were like “oh well, we’ll never get a cab in these back streets”, and one miraculously turned the corner. Happy days.

Glee is an amazing show
and the cast sounded amazing with the National Anthem. I’m actually kinda surprised that Lea Michelle wasn’t the lead but still it was very good.

Amber Riley is great
but I still prefer Lea Michelle, I’m not into the R&B style of voice, even though she is damn good. And lea Michelle is very nice to ummm look at.

I can't say I see any sort of excess solely on the part of Microsoft.
They both do it. Though the quality of Windows products has most certainly declined, which is why I skipped Vista altogether. When I buy my new computer, then I’ll move off of XP.

Microsoft should've never
went to Vista in the first place. XP was a great OS, and all they had to do was tweak it a bit. However Apple was smart when they went to a Unix based OS, and I’m not sure if Windows can ever recover.

I was once that way
and I hatted Macs for the longest time. My old job was as a computer tech at a high school. We had both OS X and XP, guess which broke down more? Guess which were easier to maintain… that’s when I made the switch, and I refuse to go back.

That seems to be the case for many, but it isn't always the case.
Some PCs are better than others. For example, my Sony VAIO PCs always behave far better when I am using them than do Macs. I use Macs for video editing purposes only, and even then they frustrate me. Mac programs seem to “unexpectedly quit” at an annoying rate. I think they just don’t like me.

I like it
on certain occasions (Memorial Day, July 4, Veteran’s Day…) but on others it seems to be out of place. The Sunday Rockies games seem appropriate as well but I don’t like it every game because it does make the game longer. Anything that makes the game longer that does not include actually playing baseball is kind of bothersome.

I don't understand why nationalist music is played at sporting events at all.
Especially when both teams are within the same country.

It became more obvious after September 11th, 2001 to play God Bless America.
It became more commonplace after that. You even see it during special occasions at minor league games too.
Just a reminder for everyone... Daylight Saving Time ends at 2AM.
Turn those clock back one hour (unless you’re in Arizona, Hawaii, and some parts of Indiana) and enjoy that extra hour of rest you lost during Spring Training.
Thankfully, both my cell phone and computer do this automatically for me. :D

I troubleshoot customer problems and have enough experience and working knowledge of a wide variety apps and tools, but I’m not a hardward person. The hard part is getting someone to read your resume and cover letter. So many jobs are posted online and you have to basicall figure out a way for them to actually look at yours over the other 500 they receive. Its discouraging I have to say…:(

Those extra off days in the LCS round before game 5 is a joke...
especially when it is a 2-3-2 format. I might have seen it if is was a 2-2-1-1-1 format, but not in a 2-3-2 format.

Plus I don’t like how you only need to use three starters and get to save the best members of your bullpen for every single game. It completely changes how players are used in the series.

It's one thing when they let networks mess with the start times of games
but it’s an entirly more serious matter when they allow the networks to insert extra off days that effect the series itself

Earlier today, MLB Network re-aired the 1969 World Series between the Baltimore Orioles and the New York Mets...
That Sunday game on NBC must have started at 1pm ET, because Curt Gowdy teased upcoming AFL games airing after that game on NBC, including the Denver Broncos, coming up at 4pm ET.
Ah, the good ole days, when they actually had a matinee start time for a World Series game.

Just think, that 1969 World Series was broadcasted in color on NBC-TV...
but were too cheap at the time to the record the game onto a tape in color. MLB Network only had a black-and-white version. Same for the 1968 World Series between the St. Louis Cardinals and the Detroit Tigers.

Remember, the rain plagued World Series game last year?
Bud Selig says no more “rain-shortened” postseason games. He changed that rule. The game would be suspended and completed the next day.
So, that's officially the rule now?

Originally not ruled a HR, but was reversed on replay.
The HR ricocheted off the lens of the FOX camera in right field, which was hanging over the right field fence. It would have likely cleared the fence if the FOX camera wasn’t there.

A gound rule double
is when the ball lands in fair territory and bounces into the seats.
If it bounces off the fence and then into the field of play the ball is in play

Probably since the umpires determined that the ball would have cleared the fence, if the camera lens wasn't in the way.
Apparently, during Charlie Manuel’s postgame news conference that aired on ESPN, Manuel mentioned that the umpires determined before the game, that if the ball had hit the camera, then it was going to be a home run. But Charlie Manuel wasn’t advised about that ruling during the line-up exchange before the game.

okay so the camera is in the field of play....
and in that case…its like the tarp at Dodger Stadium that a ball got stuck in if I remember correctly….that was ruled a double…so why is this different

I am honestly not sure (Just saw the replay)
It would have been awful close if the camera had not been there. I think it would have been a HR, but I’m not sure

I don't have an issue with the replay
my issue is with allowing the camera to be in the field of play at all

Chad Gaudin…didn’t have a lot of success with the Pads…is now possibly going to have a WS ring….CRAZY!!
