Saturday Night (Rockies) Fever Party, NLDS Style, WITH DETAILS

Who wants to meet before the game Saturday?  It will be a good occasion to meet up with other Purple Row folks, engage in some RockiesNerd talk, maybe have some food and a beer or two (for cheaper than the $6 beers in the stadium).  Even if you don't have tickets to the game, you should come.  Rockies fans are the most awesome people...well...ever.

I think a few people have expressed interest, so this is now the official discussion of where and when we should meet.  I can update this later with details.

Please comment with your interest and more importantly, if you know where you can find cheap drinks on a Saturday evening in LoDo.

(Also, I was going to photoshop an image of John Travolta in Rockies gear, just to make sure everyone got the analogy, but Photoshop kept crashing.  It's probably for the best.)

EDIT:  We will be meeting up at the Giggling Grizzly (1320 20th street, at 2oth and Market).  I was thinking 5 pm.  Please come!

Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

I'll be down town already

as the OU watch party game will be that afternoon (1:30 Kick off, so, done about 5pm against the Baylor Bears) at Jackson’s. But if the game runs long, I’m not sure how much time I’ll have to meet up before. After I’m in.

I must pace my drinking Saturday. Maybe in honor of the Baptist Bears I go Diet Coke.

Once again, I implore you to meet up somewhere with videoconferencing capabilities…

(actually, this Saturday isn’t good for me anyway as I will be dress-rehearsing and then performing Verdi’s Requiem with my choir. But go Rockies!!!)

Interested, but not likely to drive from Longmont to LoDo without a ticket

But if there’s a a Sunday game, I could be interested in meeting up then.

I think we should try to find a location where there’s a big screen and audio for the people who wont have tickets.

Does anyone know where that would be?

by BlakeBomber on Oct 6, 2009 1:18 PM MDT reply actions

Okay:

so there it a bit of interest, but nobody knows a good place to meet. And I, for one, am half-heartedly hoping that they move the game to a day where snow and 35 degree weather is not predicted.

I think that’s pretty much the gist of it so far, yes?

Never give up, never surrender.
