De La Rosa Groin (Aka the day the season died)

Sadly I think the season imploded the four inning on Sat night in Dodger Stadium.  The point when De La Rosa left the game.  I fear the division was lost at that point, homefield, you name it.  I think that will likely be the defining moment of the season in retrospect.  De La Rosa injury robbed us of our best pitcher down the stretch and a key lefty to offset the Phillies in a short series.  I hope the team can rally but the hill is very steep at this point.

No way that's the defining moment in a season...

…where the Rockies had basically no chance to make the playoffs according to the pundits.

Other than that, I agree – it severely hurt the team’s chances of advancing in the postseason. But, like the old saying goes – that’s why they play the games.

Just an average guy with exceptional hair. Nothing more, nothing less.

The defining moment of 2009

has to be Spilly’s walkoff slam!

You don't have to admit that, though

I like to think our defining moment still awaits....

unless this is limited to the regular season.

Dear Rockies - Thank you for proving John Kruk is a pertinacious nincompoop.

Troy Tulowitzki - THE best SS in the game..nuff said
Yorvit Torrealba - En Fuego
Brad Hawpe- Big Bad Brad is Back BABY!
Dexter Fowler - prowling CF, WC in his talons, stalking the NL Pennant

Huge win yesterday

and Philly invested so many assets into it. I think they fear the cold weather and remember 2007 when they nary made a dent here in the single game. Manual went all in yesterday and got seriously burned. I know Charlie from ML days and he is a good guy and that was definately out of character for him.

much, much nicer

I’ll take my chances with Hammel, however.
