This is just ridiculous, I'm seething...

How does Adrian Gonzalez win the GG over Helton, who had 3 errors(unless that number is wrong)?

And Tulo is just getting screwed. I don’t know why I even care enough to get pissed about this.

Dear Rockies - Thank you for a wonderful rollercoaster of a season! NL Wild Card Champs. Best turnaround in MLB history for a team to win the Wild Card. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Troy Tulowitzki - MLB's BEST shortstop..nuff said
Yorvit Torrealba - Re-sign!! he's en Fuego!!
Brad Hawpe- I hope I get to see you in a Rockies uniform again!
Dexter Fowler - prowling CF, WC in his talons, leaping Utleys in a single bound!

That would be correct.

Errors aren’t everything, though; if you go by that logic, Rollins is a better fielder than Tulo because he made fewer errors this year.

I’m not sure where to look up the advanced fielding stats like UZR, but according to Range Factor (which I can look at on B-R), Rollins was the second worst regular shortstop in the National League this year. (Tulo was fourth, behind Brendan Ryan, Cristian Guzman, and Miguel Tejada, but Guzman and Tejada made a lot of errors.)

I'm not a fan or Range Factor

As it is more a measure of your pitcher’s tendancies than the actual ability of the player. I guess with enough data it seems reasonable 2nd, short and 3rd with a sufficient sample, but anything else will not be context neutral enough.

Just another example

of how Jimmy Rollins is one of the most overrated players in baseball.

So true

He seems to get ten times the credit that Utley does which is rediculous. The Gold Glove Awards to me seem more and more like baseball propaganda.

I wonder if Bud Selig will give the Yankees a receipt with their World Series purchase

Sorry, but I have to post this...

Back on topic, I lost all faith in the Gold Glove awards when Derrek Lee won one in 2007 somehow and Tulo was passed over. The Rockies getting screwed out of the awards again is, sadly, predictable.

Is it just me or do an insanely high number of people make their first post in a Fanshot or Fanpost

If someone on the staff can confirm this is there anyone else out there who knows psychology or something who would have an explaination for why this is the case?

I wonder if Bud Selig will give the Yankees a receipt with their World Series purchase

Maybe it's because

The game threads go really fast sometimes and not much time to jump in…Fanposts are more more low key ..at least that’s what I thought when i first started posting. :-)

I agree the games move really fast

but why not the Rockpile or another frontpage post

I wonder if Bud Selig will give the Yankees a receipt with their World Series purchase
