There's one off the market, though it's questionable whether he was ever really considering going anywhere else. I suppose it increases the Giants' chances of re-signing Penny, and the likelihood of the Mets going after Marquis pretty hard?

I think that most in the industry expected this,
The main thing is that it does seem to imply that the Braves will try and trade either Javy Vazquez or Derek Lowe. Both pitchers would rather stay East, and I know Vazquez has a no-trade clause and Lowe might also, so Rockies fans shouldn’t get any ideas, but at least it makes it less likely that our NL West opponents get their hands on them, also.
