Sorry RMN

I’ll pour one out next time I find myself with the free time to do something like pouring one out.

McCoy

I hope he wins an AL batting crown.

OK so who becomes this years "Q" now?

In a perfect world....

…his name would be Clint Barmes

You really want to clone Clint Barmes?

Cuz that’s the only way…

Because you want to believe that or because you have reason to?

What about the multi-year rumors?

What about the Brad Hawpe isn't going anywhere declarations?

I wouldn’t be surprised to see them follow through with the multi year rumors, but I think they’re bluffing. Or Renck was presupposing a bit.

Hope got in my eyes

I don't think it's bluffing

Clint Barmes is a nice piece to have on a team, and you probably can sign him to a two-year at a very reasonable price, where he’ll give you value at that level. But I still prefer him as a super utility player.

Look at it like this, if we could bring in a nice 2B bat with real OBP (I know, I know, they don’t fall off trees), then Barmes becomes a huge upgrade over Q. His 22-24 dingers were nice, but we don’t have a power outage, we need that role to get on base.

in a situaton like hawpes

It is almost a forgone conclusion that the team’s statement is that they aren’t trying to trade him. There are select teams he would fit with and no guarantee a trade can be completed, so teams don’t want to bring a player back after failing to pull off a trade. Mentioning a potential long term deal for a player is more of a “where there’s smoke, there’s fire” thing

which are very good points

around this time, I tend to ignore everything front offices actually say and trust the guys stirring up nonsense.

it’s so much fun

Hope got in my eyes

Aw I'm sorry RMN

At least now he can be “free” in Canada.

I wonder if Bud Selig will give the Yankees a receipt with their World Series purchase

There is a disturbance in the force...

Poor RMN…:(

Dear Rockies - Thank you for a wonderful rollercoaster of a season! NL Wild Card Champs. Best turnaround in MLB history for a team to win the Wild Card. Can't wait to do it again next year!

Troy Tulowitzki - MLB's BEST shortstop..nuff said
Yorvit Torrealba - Re-sign!! he's en Fuego!!
Brad Hawpe- I hope I get to see you in a Rockies uniform again!
Dexter Fowler - prowling CF, WC in his talons, leaping Utleys in a single bound!

With open spots on the 40

its pretty obvious he wasn’t in the teams plans.

Oh, I wouldn't go that far

Though it is clear that the Blue Jays are definitely allowed to have your favorite players.

I’m a sad panda for you. I was wondering how McCoy would look with a good two week run in the lineup.
