Enjoy the list.
2000
April 16, 2000 (Cardinals) (14-13)
The first nominee for best Rockies game of the decade was a classic Coors field prehumidor game. The Rockies overcame deficits of 3-0 and 7-3 to take a 14-9 lead into the final inning. Julian Tavarez then came into the game and surrendered two singles, a double, and a walk while only getting one out. In came Gabe White who quickly got the second out before walking the next two batters to load the bases and make it a 14-12 game. He then hit Eli Marrero to force in the Cardinals 13th run before getting Placido Polanco, who already had a hit in the inning to line out to right field for the final out of the game. (Why he swung at the first pitch I'll never know) Interesting stat from this game is that despite scoring 14 runs, no Rockie had more than two hits. Very odd.
June 9, 2000 (Rangers) (3-2 in 12 innings)
Not every game at Coors was a slugfest. Kenny Rogers and Pedro Astacio each throw gems in a game that was tied 1-1 after 11 innings. It looked as if Texas would escape with a 2-1 victory when Ivan Rodriguez lined an RBI single into centerfield in the top of the 12th, but John Wetteland couldn't get anybody out in the bottom of the inning and Terry Shumpert proved to be the walkoff hero.
June 28, 2000 (Giants) (17-13)
Rockies rally from an 8-1 third inning hole to win a wild one 17-13. Lansing, Cirillo, Helton, Hammonds, Mayne, and Perez all enjoy muti-hit games.
The Rockies once promising season was falling apart; the team had lost 11 straight games and was in desperate need of a spark. When game 90 reached the middle of the 6th inning it didn't look like it would come on this night as the Rockies trailed the playoff bound A's 4-0. They would find some magic though and take a 6-4 lead at the end of 7. Then the game got really crazy. A's took a 7-6 lead in the top of the 8th, Rockies took an 8-7 lead in the bottom of the 8th, A's took a 9-8 lead in the top of the 9th, Rockies tied it in the bottom of the inning, A's waste a leadoff triple in the top of the 10th, Rockies win it in the bottom of the inning.
October 1, 2000(@Braves) (10-5)
Rockies turn a 5-3 9th inning deficit into a 10-5 win and Todd Helton goes 2-5 to win the MLB batting title.
2001
April 15, 2001 (D'Backs) (10-7 in 10 innings)
Beat eventual World Series champions on 3-run Hollandsworth HR in 10th
June 16, 2001 (@Reds) (8-7 in 12 innings)
Score two in the 9th to tie it and one in the 12th to win it. Juan Pierre has the game winning RBI
Down 8-3 in the 6th the Rockies mount an impressive comeback and win in a walkoff
July 29, 2001 (@Dodgers) (3-2)
Win in wild 9th after going 7-29 in previous 36 games
July 31, 2001 (Phillies) (7-6)
Down 6-2 in the 8th, win on Helton walkoff HR in the 9th
Rockies score five runs in the 9th (four of them with two outs) to stun Cincinnati 7-6. It's the second time this season that the Rockies have staged an incredible comeback against the Reds in Cincinnati.
September 18, 2001 (D'Backs) (10-9)
Rockies fall behind 6-0 after 1, rally against Curt Schilling of all people to tie it, fall behind again 9-8, but win on back to back HR's to lead off the 9th by Helton and Cirillo (All this in a game one week after the September 11th attacks)
September 21, 2001 (@Expos) (11-9 in 11 innings)
A crazy seesaw battle north of the border that resulted in an 11-9 eleven inning victory for the Rockies
2002
May 12, 2002 (@Mets) (4-3 in 13 innings)
Rockies score two in the 13th on a Uribe HR and then hold off the Mets by one
June 20, 2002 (Yankees) (14-11 in 10 innings)
Colorado rallies from a 7-1 fifth inning deficit to beat the evil empire for the first time in franchise history on a Todd Zeile 10th inning HR. The comeback is highlighted by an eight run 6thinning that includes a Hollandsworth grand slam.
June 21, 2002 (Devil Rays) (8-7 in 10 innings)
The encore to the Yankee comeback was a four run 9th inning comeback that included four doubles and a triple before a Larry Walker single won it in the 10th.
June 30, 2002 (@Mariners) (4-3)
Dramatics against the AL continue as the Rox turn a one run 9th inning deficit into a one run win.
August 12, 2002 (@Marlins) (1-0)
Colorado gets a rare 1-0 win in south Florida as the Rockies use an RBI fourth inning double from Helton and scoreless pitching from Jennings, Justin, Jones, and Jimenez to beat AJ Burnett's complete game performance.
2003
April 19, 2003 (Padres) (10-9)
Six batters named Preston Wilson, Jose Hernandez, Bobby Estalella, Greg Norton, Chris Stynes, and Ronnie Belliard come to the plate in the 9th and not one of them makes an out. Bet that never happens again.
Tom Glavine is throwing a gem and his Mets lead 7-0 in the 7th but the Rockies kick it into gear after the stretch. Colorado scores four in the 7th and five in the 8th to win 9-8
2004
July 2, 2004 (Tigers) (9-8 in 10 innings)
This game had two crazy comebacks. Down three in the 9th the Rockies got three, and down one in the 10th the Rockies got two.
It looked like the Rockies were going to fail to complete a sweep of the Tigers when they trailed 8-0 in the 5th, but looks can be deceiving. They would take the lead 10-8 after the 6th before both bullpens put up zeros in the 7th 8th and 9th.
Rockies rally for four in the 9th on a total bullpen meltdown by Matt Herges and Scott Eyre
September 23, 2004 (D'Backs) (2-1 in 10 innings)
After giving up a run in the first, Wright, Lopez, Reed, Fuentes, and Simpson shut out the D'Backs for the next nine innings as the Rox have just enough offense to beat the snakes.
2005
April 4, 2005 (Padres) (12-10)
Rockies fans would have to enjoy this amazing opening day 12-10 win provided by a Clint Barmes walk off HR as they would lose their next eight games en route to their worst season ever.
June 2, 2005 (Cardinals) (8-7)
Colorado beats the defending NL champs on a Brad Hawpe walk of walk. (Part of a three run 9th inning)
It's the first ever 1-0 game in Coors Field history. The winning pitcher is Jason Jennings
September 20, 2005 (Padres) (20-1)
The biggest beat down in Rockies history was lead by Matt Holliday who had 2 HR and eight RBIs. Perhaps even more amazing is that it came against the first place Pads.
2006
What can I say; the Rockies were very good at four run 9th inning comebacks this decade.
June 30, 2006 (@Mariners) (2-0)
Josh Fogg pitches a complete game shutout while facing the minimum number of batters. He did give up two hits and a walk but all were wiped out by double plays (Thanks controlled_slide)
July 24, 2006 (Cardinals) (7-0)
Perhaps an even better game was thrown by Jeff Francis the following month. He threw a complete game shutout and struck out eight while surrendering only two hits and no walks.
Troy Tulowitzki gets his first career hit and scores his first run in the third inning of an otherwise unspectacular 8-4 Rockies win. (If you don't think this game should be included in the nominations, keep reading. You've made it this far anyway.)
September 30, 2006 (@Cubs) (11-9 in 14 innings)
In the "I'm so happy I didn't have to think about that game all offseason" game of the decade, the Rockies blow an 8-0 third inning lead and then win 11-9 in 14 innings. Jeff Baker saves us from total misery.
2007
April 3, 2007 (D'Backs) (4-3 in 11 innings)
After a Stephen Drew single put the D'Backs ahead 3-2 in the top of the 11th inning, Troy Tulowitzki would get the game tying RBI double and score the winning run in the bottom half of the inning.
April 29, 2007 (Braves) (9-7 in 11 innings)
This game must have really broke John Kruk's heart. Troy Tulowitzki turns an unassisted triple play in the 7th before the Rockies score two in the 9th to tie it and win on a walkoff two run Matt Holliday bomb in the 11th.
As legend has it, a day after Troy Tulowitzki went on his famous clubhouse rant for the team underperforming and reaching a season low nine games under .500, the rookie shortstop backed up his words by ripping a game winning 9th inning RBI double into the gap against the D'Backs. The team would follow Tulo's lead and win seven in a row.
May 27, 2007 (@Giants) (6-4 in 10 innings)
Five days later, Tulo was at it again. This time the Giants fell victim to a Tulo game winning RBI single in the 10th.
Rockies fall behind the Astros 6-1 after five but rally for a 7-6 victory that includes three 9th inning runs. Oh by the way, Troy Tulowitzki had the game winning walk off RBI single. I'm noticing a trend developing.
(Day of the Purple Broom) Normally a 4-3 win on a Thursday afternoon game in June is forgotten. That changes however when that 4-3 win is to sweep the Yankees, knock them back to .500, and put them in serious danger of missing the playoffs. The win also makes the Rockies 5-1 against the Red Sox and Yankees, a truly joyous occasion and big step for the franchise.
July 6, 2007 (Phillies) (7-6 in 11 innings)
The Rockies found themselves trailing 6-1 after five innings. Then they started to chip away. They got two in the 6th, one in the 7th, one in the 8th, one in the 9th, and one in the 11th to win 7-6. The bullpen also provided six scoreless innings against a tough Phillies lineup after an unusually bad start by Jeff Francis.
August 18, 2007 (@Dodgers) (7-4 in 11 innings)
For half of one season, the Rockies owned the Dodgers. This 14 inning nail biter was the first of eight second half victories against the boys in blue.
August 24, 2007 (Nationals) (6-5)
On August 24, a day also know as National Colorado Rockies dramatic come from behind victory day the Rockies score five in the bottom of the 9th to beat the Nationals. As you might expect with the Nationals an error was involved.
September 18, 2007 (Dodgers) (9-8)
The first sign that something truly amazing was about to take place. Knowing they need a victory in just about every game remaining on the schedule, the Rockies win in stunning fashion on a two out two run walk off home run off the bat of Todd Helton. From here the Rockies soar like an eagle while the Dodgers sink like the Titanic.
September 21, 2007 (@Padres) (2-1 in 14 innings)
Everybody remembers game 163, but the forgotten gem in the Rockies 07 late season surge is the other game they had to face Jake Peavy. Franklin Morales gave the Rockies six scoreless innings of one hit baseball and left with a chance to win the game 1-0; but Manny Corpas blew the save in the 9th when he surrendered a home run to Adrian Gonzalez. The game would remain tied at one until the 14th inning when Brad Hawpe hit a 2 out dinger that would put the Rockies ahead for good.
September 27, 2007 (@Dodgers) (10-4)
Dodger domination and the magic carpet ride continue in LA. The Rockies win a franchise record 11 games in a row and their 7th in a row against the Dodgers. With three games to play, the Rockies once seemingly impossible playoff hopes are alive and well.
September 29, 2007 (Padres @ Brewers) (4-3 in 11 innings)
No the Rockies didn't play in this game but all hard core Rockies fans probably remember where they were when it took place. When the all time saves leader stood on the mound to face Tony Gwynn Jr. with two outs in the 9th, the Rockies were one pitch away from elimination. But in a moment that would foreshadow the pinnacle game in the Rockies 07 run, Gwynn Jr. would hit a game tying triple off Trevor Hoffman and keep the Padres champagne on ice for at least another inning. The Brewers would complete the comeback in the 11th. Thanks again Milwaukee.
September 30, 2007 (D'Backs) (4-3)
This day had it all. A no hitter for 5 and third innings by a rookie future stud, eyes glued to the scoreboard to see a three run comeback in Milwaukee, and a dramatic one run victory that set up one of the greatest games in baseball history.
Rocktober 1, 2007 (Padres) (9-8 in 13 innings)
If you don't remember what happened in this game I have no idea why you are reading this fanpost.
Rocktober 6, 2007 (Phillies) (2-1)
Rockies win the game 2-1 and their first playoff series in franchise history 3-0.
Rocktober 12, 2007 (@D'Backs) (3-2 in 11 innings)
This team just can't do anything wrong. Even when Matsui makes an error to allow the game tying run to score in the 9th, the Rockies still win their 19th game in the last 20 3-2 on a Willy Tavares bases loaded walk in the top of the 11th.
Rocktober 15, 2007 (D'Backs) (6-4)
21 out of 22, four game sweep of the D'Backs, NL champs, and the franchise's first World Series birth. It doesn't get much better than that.
Rocktober 24, 2007 (Red Sox) (1-13)
Even though this game was a total disaster I still nominated it because it was the Rockies first World Series game. It's a moment that will never happen again. (Also the series wasn't over after one game)
2008
April 17, 2008 (@Padres) (2-1 in 22 INNINGS!!!!!)
The game that allowed all Rockies fans to see just how much of a fan they really are. What was more important to you? The outcome of a Rockies game in April or any sleep at all?
May 23, 2008 (Mets) (6-5 in 13 innings)
The Matt Holliday show: Rockies win on a game tying Matt Holliday home run in the 9th and a game winning Matt Holliday single in the 13th.
The second Rockies 1-0 win at Coors Field. When it was played it broke the record for the latest a game stayed scoreless at Coors Field as a run was not scored until a Yorvit Torrealba sac fly in the bottom of the 9th.
In the quickest game ever at Coors Field, Aaron Cook took care of the Padres with a 79 pitch complete game shutout.
July 3, 2008 (Marlins) (6-5 in 11 innings)
In between the masterful pitching of Aaron Cook and fireworks of the July 4th contest, there was quite a game played against the Marlins.
July 4, 2008 (Marlins) (18-17)
The greatest comeback in Rockies history. Enough said.
August 24, 2008 (Reds) (4-3 in 12 innings)
Believe it or not, the Rockies 9th inning comeback and 12th inning walk off home run by Omar Quintanilla was actually the least exciting Rockies game on this date in the last three years.
September 14, 2008 (Dodgers) (1-0 in 10 innings)
The third 1-0 Rockies win at Coors Field and the game that now holds the record for the latest a game stayed scoreless in Colorado. Tulo got the game winning RBI single in the bottom of the 10th.
2009
Rockies win 15th out of 16 on a game tying three run HR by Iannetta in the 8th and a game winning two run HR by Helton in the 9th
Rockies rally from a 7-3 7th inning deficit to beat John Kruk's Braves on a Brad Hawpe walkoff double and head into the All Star break in style.
Todd Helton reaches a milestone as he hits his 500th double in the third inning of a 4-3 comeback win against Arizona.
ClapClap ClapClapClap ClapClapCalpClap TULO!!!!!! Troy Tulowitzki hits for the cycle and goes five for five with seven RBI's as the Rockies rout the Cubs. In addition the Rockies move a game ahead of the Giants in the Wild Card battle. What a great day!
August 24, 2009 (Giants) (6-4 in 14 innings) SpillySlam!!!!!
Perhaps the most dramatic 14th inning in baseball history and the first Rockies walk off grand slam.
August 25, 2009 (Dodgers) (5-4 in 10 innings)
The next day brings another division rival, another extra inning game, and another Rockies walkoff victory. This time Troy Tulowitzki is the hero and he brings the celebration into the outfield.
September 11th, 2009 (Padres) (4-1)
It appears as if the Rockies' seven game winning streak is going to come to an end with a painful 1-0 loss in San Diego; that is until Yorvit Torrealba rips a two out 9th inning bases clearing double to the wall in left center field. Paul Phillips then tacks on an insurance run.
September 27, 2009 (Cardinals) (4-3)
Rockies get a walkoff win defensive style with outstanding fielding plays from both Troy Tulowitzki and Clint Barmes in the top of the 9th inning. The question of whether or not Barmes actually caught the ball only adds to this game's lore.
September 29, 2009 (Brewers) (7-5 in 11 innings)
On a night for the superstitious, Jason Kendal hits a game tying 3 run HR in the 9th inning off closer Huston Street after a premature celebration thread was posted. Crisis was averted however as Chris Iannetta hit a walkoff bomb in the bottom of the 11th moving the Rockies one step closer to the playoffs. (Of course this led to a different problem the next day in the Rockpile)
Rocktober 1, 2009 (Brewers) (9-2)
The Rockies cruise to a 9-2 victory over the Brewers and clinch their second playoff berth of the decade in front of the home fans at Coors field.
Eat. Drink. Be Merry. But the above FanPost does not necessarily reflect the attitudes, opinions, or views of Purple Row's staff (unless, of course, it's written by the staff [and even then, it still might not]).

Use this
as the place to rank your top 25 games using the above games (though if you believe a game is missing, do include it in your top 25). Leave the voting open for a few days and then I’ll work on creating a combined list. After that, I’ll reveal them over the last days of the year.

I've also set up a poll where you can vote on the best games
You won’t be able to rank them (you will have to do that in this thread) but you can select as many or as few games as you want. If enough people participate, a clear picture should start to develop. Please make your voice heard.
You can vote here.
I wonder if Bud Selig will give the Yankees a receipt with their World Series purchase

Let me know if you want to use my bracket
The Excel work’s already done, all you’d have to do is rank the games. I’d be happy to help you out if you wanted. You’ve got over 65 games, so you’d have a full bracket.

I laughed at this
Six batters named Preston Wilson, Jose Hernandez, Bobby Estalella, Greg Norton, Chris Stynes, and Ronnie Belliard come to the plate in the 9th and not one of them makes an out. Bet that never happens again.
Heeeyyy, come on now. I liked Preston Wilson. He wasn’t bad.

No he wasn't but it's the combination of those players as a whole :-)

This list takes me back....
I remember that Helton homer off of John Rocker in 2000 (I was 8 years old). That was so beautiful. Same with the Hollandsworth homer. That Todd Zeile bomb off of the Yankees was unforgettable too.
There’s a big omission here too: how about the Juan Morillo debut in 2006?!? And how about the Mayne game!
My favorite 10:
1. WCTB07
2. July 4th, 2008
3. Helton homer off Saito
4. Spilborghs Grand Slam
5. Opening Day 2005
6. Todd Zeile beats the Yanks
7. NLDS Game 2007
8. Juan Morillo comeback
9. Brent Mayne
10. Helton homer off John Rocker
