RockDrive: The Offseason

This offseason I wanted to tinker with the format a little and create a design in Illustrator instead of Photoshop. It's  fun to draw in Illustrator and definitely gives the look a more cartoon feel. It also gives me greater creative license to play with.

The Tiger Woods controversy that hit over the weekend left me devastated. Tiger is the same age as me and I've always followed his career with respect because of the way he has lived his life, until now. Charles Barkley once said, " I'm not a role model... Just because I dunk a basketball doesn't mean I should raise your kids."

Star-divide

It was a statement I agreed with, but children look up to athletes whether they want to be a role model or not. Kobe Bryant is another athlete that has made Tigerlike mistakes, he has been villified at every Nuggets game and is someone who I would never let my children root for; let alone buy his shoes or any other sponsored products. Some experts believe Tiger's indescretions may have cost him over $100 million in sponsorship. Tigers issues caused him to withdraw from his own charity tournament. So what's your opinion on athletes as role models, and please participate in the poll.

Matt Daley

He seems like a lovely, grounded guy, and he proves that if you really want something you can achieve it from the humblest of beginnings.

So when do I get a cameo

If that was Greg Reynolds instead of Tulo he would save you

Actually I think Tulo would save you too

I wonder if Bud Selig will give the Yankees a receipt with their World Series purchase

On the topic of athletes as role models

I once told my son that if he ended up showing 1/10th the talent that Barry Bonds has, I’d be immensely proud; but if he wasn’t at least twice the person that Barry was, I’d consider my self a failure as a parent.

Ignorance of the American League is a sign of good moral character.
Look out Dodgers...Purple objects in mirror are closer than they appear.

I'll be the guy in a orange shirt EVERY Monday...Broncos are my team win or lose.

Have I ever told you how utterly fantastic that sig line is?

Anyway, back on topic, awesome comic :D Made me laugh. And a great Illustrator drawing :) Much better than I could ever hope to do.

Thanks..do you like the uniform?

I did the hardest one first, so the purple and black sleevless should be easier next time.
