Sorry

But I’m gonna call spring training pixie dust on this one. It’s right about time for these sorts of stories to hit the press… so Francis will say he’s fine, things will go ahead, no news for two weeks, and then BOOM! Setback. Surgery time. Adios Franchise for 2009.

But then again, I am a pessimist.

Blast and botheration.

Yeah, after my initial bounce I came back to earth

What is the deal with shoulder pain that mysteriously comes and goes like that? Something still doesn’t sit right.

Saunders' 4 word second paragraph showcases his pessimism as well

“Emphasis on might be.”

I’m not a doctor, but I don’t think shoulders heal themselves very often. I wish he’d just have surgery and get it over with. Had he done so when this was first a problem, he might have been good to go for this season. If he’s not careful, trying to force it could threaten his career.

This is almost exactly what I DIDN'T want to see

I want Francis back. But I want 100% Francis.

He gonna go out with pain at a 2 and pitch like crap and then the pain will escalate to a 6 and they’ll shut him down for a month and then by July he’ll just give up and get the surgery and he’ll be a question mark for ST 2010.

Eh,

at least this way you’ll know how we feel when Max Scherzer tears a rotator cuff in July.

By the way, the AZSnakepit does not take responsibility for, nor condone, any alcohol-related accidents or injuries incurred, directly or indirectly, as a result of reading this website.

Yea, like

I was happy to hear about this, but after reading it, I pretty much shared the same reaction. Unless he completely heals or w.e I feel like he’ll go out somewhat injured and pitch somewhat poorly and then will just cost the Rockies a couple of games and then that will be it for his season…

My reaction has nothing to do with Francis specifically and it’s just more about how you hear about this every season with regard to some pitcher and it kind of all ends the same.
