Best single game pitching for 1995.
Ok, ok, ok, pitching, Coors Field, Mile High, altitude. Words not commonly associated with good things for pitchers. After several days of scouring over mountains, piles, pages, rows, columns, so many numbers that my head still hurts. I went to the Rekar CG
I remember going to the Rekar CG as a kid. I think my dad actually pulled me out of school to take me to that one lol.
Even as a kid I remember thinking that Rekar had a lot of potential does anyone know what happened to him? seems like he kind of faded into obscurity…

I thought Rekar was the real deal after that game...
It turned out Kevin Ritz was on the verge of a breakout season, and Rekar was headed towards a 25-49 lifetime achievement award.
Keepin' warm by the hot stove season.

I was young
but I remember coming home from school and watching the end of the must win Giants game. It was awesome, and therefore gets my vote.

But I'd argue that...
that Giants game was not really a great pitching performance. Actually, it was pretty awful. As such, I object to it being included on this list. Was it a memorable game? Sure it was, but that doesn’t make it a great pitching performance. I mean, it was a 10-9 final! You can’t just ignore those first two innings.
My two cents.

That's why the Giants game just includes the bullpen.
If you included Saberhagen blowing up like that, of course it should not be. It’s supposed to be the best single game pitching performance for the year, bullpen holding the Giants to 2 runs over 7 innings in a game of that importance deserved to be at least on the list. You’re voting for the guy/guys that achieved the line shown. I voted for Rekar’s game, btw.
How do you prevent the opposing pitcher from tearing you superfluous new be-hind while he is on the mound? Simple: Swing a bat....and if that don't work, swing more bat!

Thanks for voting everyone.
The Rockies bullpen performance from the final game of 1995 was voted the top pitching performance in 1995. I will have the 1996 games up ASAP.
