Franklin Morales Impressive as Rockies Lose
Jason Hirsh struggled, Huston Street looked rusty, but the Colorado Rockies did have one standout performance in Thursday's afternoon loss to Chicago White Sox. Franklin Morales pitched two perfect innings with two strikeouts in relief or Hirsh and Street, buoying the hopes of Rockies fans that an in house replacement for losing Jeff Francis is close at hand.
The wonder from down under, Shane Lindsay, also pitched well in one inning in the loss, and Omar Quintanilla collected two hits. Jeff Baker doubled and scored the Rockies only run.

Watch your typing finger there bub!
You kidding me!?! Gypsy ran the whole flipping ship! While Joel’s favorite little rowbots sat around watching crappy movies and acting all snarky about it, that ol’ girl single-handedly (did she have hands even?) kept them all from flying into the Sun. So watch your mouth about Gypsy! -Baaa-roop-

Usually we’re actually talking about, you know, the game. But with Gameday being slow as mud and the only option, we naturally got a little distracted.

I’d like to try to get in on some of this crazy potential burrito participation goodness.

UMD 8/04 - 5/08: Go Terps!
Only one or two do, unfortunately
Without looking at the schedule, from what I remember the first half of the schedule starts at 3 Eastern, the second half at 4, and then we have one last evening game in Vegas, if I remember correctly, but I thought that there was one more evening game in Peoria thrown in there somewhere. But the crazy potential burrito awesomeness will steamroll right into April, I figure.
Sorry, they all start at 1:00 local time.
I say local because Arizona is in its own weird time zone.

Don’t worry. There’s a 2001 WS ring on display at Chase Field that officially belongs “to the fans”. So that’s mine. ;-)

Yes, that

Stoked about Franklin. If he keeps it up, maybe he’ll make it acceptable for everyone to have two last names…also it might help the Rockies outperform last year’s crapfest…
