Franklin Morales served notice yesterday that he's here to compete for the fifth starter slot, today Smith will try and answer. The Rockies are still searching for their first Spring win, and it would be nice if one of these days our offense decided to show up. Let's hope that's the case today in Tempe.

the problem with zombies is that by asking if you're safe you pretty much guarantee that they'll show up
Other problems involve going to stores, subways or abandoned factory/industrial complexes or your friends or family’s houses. They’re usually always there once an outbreak starts.
Just keep a close eye on your dog..

with watching games with my laptop last summer. You watch the game and get a great conversation about the game. It’s almost like a big sports bar filled with Rockies fans in the comfort of your own home…

Better to get it out in February than April
Finesse lefties tend to be this way, actually. Doug Davis, Jamie Moyer, Tom Glavine, they all usually have pretty bad Spring stats, so I wouldn’t read much into it.

Nothing concerns me less than a pitcher’s performance in the first week of spring training. Usually they’re just trying to get the feel of facing live hitters again.

I would think
that if everyone performed equally crappy, Fogg would be the #1 choice so I think he may have a boost when it comes to this list
Same reason I said below for Morales.
Fogg’s at a disadvantage roster-wise because he would require an additional cut. If they perform equally crappy, Smith wins.
I still want to see Morales keep this up
If the stats are still this far spread, I’d put Morales ahead of Smith and Hirsh, but if they regress to the middle more, I might want Morales to take some lumps in the Springs still

I think Rusch is the second lefy in the pen.
It would make sense to try someone else in the #5 spot first — and you can always pitch Rusch in spot starts if the #5 doesn’t perform.

From what I have read
I don’t think the team wants Rusch in the Rotation, they think he’s better as a long lefty out of the pen.
Morales isn't in the lead, unfortunately
Smith would still be the top contender just because it’s the path of least resistance. Keeping Morales on the roster requires cutting somebody besides Morillo/Speier, and the Rockies are going to have to be absolutely certain he’s the man before they do that.
