Around SBN: Explaining Jeremy Lin's Early, Surprising Success

Angels 5, Rockies 3, continuing with a theme

Eventually, one would figure that the Rockies bats will break out of their February slumber, but another day of not scoring should drum up a few more woeful cries from the masses that put too much into these contests. In the meantime, I really don't have a lot to say. There was a rough first by Greg Smith, but not monumentally bad, and none of the other pitchers for the Rockies seemed to do much either good or bad to merit a lot of attention this afternoon.

As for hitters:

Edwin Bellorin

#15 / Catcher / Colorado Rockies

Dan Ortmeier

#40 / Left Field / Colorado Rockies

Edwin Bellorin and Dan Ortmeier. These two were among the few to make solid contact today, but strong performances by journeymen likely to start at AAA aren't exactly what we're looking for here.

According To Hawpe's Agent

… he’ll not be attending the WBC. Should be fine before the season begins though.

That wrap

rates a Zachary Taylor. It’s rough (around the edges) and ready (to eat). Yes, that’s a really bad comparison.

And given the date of that post,

it’s also a bit old.

Wait until

Or else

a burrito that’s really, really, really old, yet still sitting in the fridge.
