Beimel still likes Rockies, awaits serious offer : All Things Rockies Colorado
I wouldn't mind having him, but it's getting awfully crowded in the pen.

Anytime a pitcher...
actually wants to Colorado, that’s a plus in my book. Beimel is an excellent reliever that would definitely be an asset to the team.

Bring him on...
…much better than Micah Bowie…..these types of improvement are what “casual” Rockies fans don’t notice, but could make the team much more competitive than last year

So that'd have the pen looking like
RHP Street
RHP Buchholz
RHP Corpas
RHP Grilli
LHP Embree
LHP Beimel
…??

I don't mind another lefty
as long as it isn’t Ray King, or his contract. I do have to agree that getting him would put a damper on who else we could hold. Ryan Speier and Juan Morillo are out of options, and we signed Rusch and Matt Belisle to minor league deals. If Greg Smith does not make the rotation he is a long bullpen option but could also see time in CS. The main thing I worry about is losing the depth we have built up because I don’t believe many teams will let Speier or Morillo get through the waivers.

I think that Morillo...
is on his way out, honestly. He just hasn’t been effective at the major league (or AAA for that matter) level, despite his ridiculous speed. Speier takes the final spot if Beimel signs, but if he doesn’t, then I think Rusch slips on to the team.

We tried to trade Morillo for Redding
whew
Not for keeping Morillo, for NOT getting Redding.

And I think the Pitching
might be fun to watch “up” there. I just hope our hitting prospects do as well as they could. If Gonzalez, Fowler, and Murton should be a pretty good outfield. Koshansky at first, and the rest of the infield is up for grabs assuming there is no guarantee that Nelson, or EY2 make the roster. As for third…? Fun to watch no matter what.
