Cleveland 6, Colorado 4: March's Arrival Doesn't Help Rockies

The Cleveland Indians (2-3) continued to keep the Colorado Rockies (0-5) winless in Cactus League play with a 6-4 victory today. Most of the damage was done early by the Indians, who had five runs in the first two innings--enough to carry them to victory. Aaron Cook (0-1) got the loss while Zach Jackson was the beneficiary of the early run support and took the win (1-0).

Woot! There's a wrap for Russ...

I’m eager to see who this proves to be analogous to.

General George Patton

after the surrender of the Germans and wanting to go after the Soviets if they wouldn’t retreat. A messy situation on the table, but the possible avoidance of that long twilight struggle.

Messy

is pretty easy to equate to a historical event. History by definition is messy

Not necessarily.

I think I agree with Poseidon’s Fist — that was a gimme.

Is it weird

if I’d like to see the Rockies lose every game in spring training and then have them win like 87 during the season?

by Resolution on Mar 1, 2009 5:41 PM MST reply actions

I'll take it

spring training is a joke man, it’d be so funny if they just get beat every st game and dominate during the year

Morales

Buried in the comments in Renck’s blog Yorvit says that Morales is 100% better than last year – with his simplified delivery. Looking forward to seeing if he can keep it up tomorrow.

Put me in w/ the group

excited to see how Morales pitches this Spring. Having him as our #5 could be a huge advantage w/ his upside. I was thinking the other day how that would work if our rotation was Cook, Jimenez, Marquis, JDLR, and Morales. JDLR and Morales are somewhat similar pitchers and I am wondering if the Rox would be hesitant to pitch them back to back, which means JDLR moves to the #3 slot, that is a little scary.
